I mean, it’s literally a massive bridge shooting out a rainbow of water in time to music. It’s pretty unique, right?

I mean, you’re on a boat, you have this cool breeze, you see the skyline all lit up, and then a bridge starts to put on a light and water show for you. Honestly, it’s just one of those moments that makes you go, ‘Wow, this is pretty cool.’ It feels very, very Seoul.

A Couple of Tips to Make it Better

Okay, so if you’re going to do this tour, I have a few little bits of advice. First, as I was saying, get to the outdoor deck and grab a spot along the side of the boat that will face the bridge. The boat usually stops so one side has a clear view, and if you’re on the wrong side, well, you’ll be trying to see over a lot of heads. Also, if you’re really into photography, a small tripod could be helpful, but honestly, it might be more trouble than it’s worth with the boat moving a little. Just bracing your phone or camera against the railing works pretty well. Finally, just manage your own expectations a little bit. It’s a fountain show from a bridge, you know? It’s really neat and a wonderful way to spend an hour or so, but it’s a show, not an all-night event. The whole experience, from boarding to getting off, is more or less about 90 minutes. It’s more serene, more about the visuals and the calm of being on the water. It’s a wonderful piece of a larger evening, perhaps before or after dinner in a lively neighborhood like Hongdae or Myeongdong.
