The Dalton City Bar & Restaurant: Where History Meets Hearty Meals
If you are up for some stories and maybe some satisfying, hearty meals, Dalton City Bar & Restaurant it’s almost certainly the place. It’s styled that it’s kind of like an old-timey Gold Rush town – really, it’s part of the Chilkat Center for the Arts. Anyway, so this spot actually does give you some pretty decent food paired with, like, a side of local history.
The menu tends to lean towards classic Alaskan fare, and I mean, that obviously means they have a lot of seafood dishes available along with, well, burgers, steaks, those things too it’s almost certain you could try some local halibut. Very flaky, cooked pretty much how you want it, this may be the thing you want to order with a craft beer, as a matter of fact this really could set the mood after going around seeing Haines’ landscapes.
The whole atmosphere is warm and friendly; really, you feel welcomed the instant you walk inside the bar, I guess it could be how people know each other, it may well be that kind of friendly atmosphere that gets visitors chatting like old friends. The décor could be defined as rustic and, yeah, that really just adds to that feeling that you just found one awesome place.

Haines Brewing Company: Quench Your Thirst and Grab a Bite
If what you need is something more informal but with character, Haines Brewing Company could be a total winner. Basically, yeah, it’s a great local brewery and yeah they happen to serve food, as I was saying, this really does strike the perfect balance so that people that drink may eat, and people that eat may drink.
That said, you can anticipate a menu here with all those easy to pair beers goodies. Just to put things in perspective, things like burgers and pizzas, those could be things that might very well be just what you need if you have some kind of urge of the type of beer munchies or maybe just simple satisfying things.
The beer there? All made there. So you are sure of a locally brewed crafted one to choose to your liking, to be completely honest I do believe the tasting room it’s almost a great spot in itself, really; I mean it’s often full with both Haines local people and all those passing through tourists, kind of making for a really happy friendly environment to grab a beer (and a bit of food of course!).

The Fishwheel Restaurant: Seafood with a View
The Fishwheel Restaurant so offers like some impressive waterfront views, that with the fresh seafood could very well equal that winning dinner formula that pretty much any food-loving tourist is trying to get at. To explain this better: Picture this, the Lynn Canal basically providing that stunning dinner backdrop.
The menu could be that which one expects from Haines: expect some variety of locally-sourced seafood options. You could order things as simple as fish and chips (done very, very well), or, just for a comparison with the simple one, maybe try some elaborated plates of salmon or the halibut plates; both those things there show those genuine flavors you’re pretty sure to find nowhere else.
That said the overall environment so is family friendly; that just makes this even better to go dine in the place, what’s more, you would see many times that those views, in conjunction with that great service it provides are likely to turn just one regular meal to that of an outing you’ll always look fondly in remembrance of.

Want to take a culinary different path for a change while in Haines? The Bamboo Room Restaurant just can be, well, what you want. So yeah you can anticipate asian-inspired dishes and, well that could really add this exotic yet, surprisingly good, something.
Menu there mixes local ingredients, like you´d have the local seafood as a given, using asian cooking methods, like this you could come across dishes with that different unique, very interesting approach to food and preparation. Anyway I do find the place awesome really.
If you, like your, group or you people, that kind of thing, are after trying to step out a bit to explore something new in the flavor spectrum it could very well be the place that sets your evening out in Haines. The informal kind of ambiance of the restaurant that just makes it easy to just seat and grab a quick bite could be what attracts most tourists. So it also tends to be good for that informal quick stop.

Sometimes what you really do need is just a really good quick stop. You know. For grabbing those things or eating a really good meal when time is something you have just a little. To be completely honest and fair, I should mention Howser’s Super Market and Deli, is just that, offering all Haines locals and tourists that kind of service so you can actually save you’re, like your, valuable time.
Just imagine a normal day of yours while in Haines: This particular place so does work very, very well actually so that you just replenish those hiking foods you could eventually lack while doing that long-awaited tour in Alaska´s beauty. This option here is great too it’s almost if your purpose is more in line to those budget travelers.
It also just works so well just if your vibe tends to be more of those super-chilled people that happen to also need to replenish fast on snacks. Seriously if that rings a bell with you in almost any way give it a visit so you are sure and very happy. I really believe this is all of what it has to offer.
