1. Ait Benhaddou: A Living Kasbah
Ait Benhaddou is an iconic example, as a fortified village called a kasbah, that sits as if that has just appeared on the edge of the Sahara. Actually, it is recognized because filmmakers favor the spot, this place shows up very, very frequently. Since, honestly, Gladiator and Game of Thrones decided to use the spot. Wandering the tight paths, you will find old buildings where people still live; these paths are lined with local artisans exhibiting work and creativity. A bit from Berber jewelry to beautiful paintings influenced by Sahara scenes are for sale at those locations.

2. Merzouga: Music Under the Stars
Merzouga provides something way different; this gateway toward Erg Chebbi’s majestic dunes is where music beats beneath a canopy that twinkles, arguably, with stars. Just picture sitting around the campfire in that area while local Gnaoua musicians make tunes having spiritual and African beginnings using drums that vibrate via sand. It isn’t always just hearing a tune, it’s feeling customs come around to life.
A whole bunch of desert camps provide these concerts, which permit the combining exploration through camel and musical pleasure together, more or less. It turns into something pretty genuine as people express themselves and the heritage that goes on through generations sharing underneath those great stars over Merzouga.

3. Rissani: A Market of Culture
Rissani is the location, at times missed due it’s lack of advertising as such, still there if, you very much, want an original feeling; you will travel to this ancient city just at Sahara’s edges near to the chaos yet truth from a regular Moroccan market. The souk from here happens on various times throughout some days when traders sell items such, really, as colorful fabrics along with spices, in fact fossils too!, that originated around this place.
It is an unbelievable way to feel commerce being a type expressing arts as bargaining along with just connecting while walking thru will offer memorable photos plus storytelling possibilities than somewhere planned for. Actually you, must make an effort getting yourself completely covered when walking nearby because its dust might add credibility which, of course, make this something more amazing anyway.

4. Erfoud: The Fossil City
Erfoud, pretty much, may call themselves fossil towns as area abounds in those old relics made into pieces to look very nice which combine talent via science within it’s artwork. Have some idea relating things found millions year back being changed slowly from raw substance down transforming towards elaborate tables while water foundations exhibiting beautiful polished finishes that speak volume through, often, story.

Tamegroute is something I’ve heard people, like your friend, refer as not something common yet provides those who adore pottery with chances of looking personally. A practice spanning for so long, really centuries produces pieces having an unmistakable dark color produced from using means unique found over only from valley.
