We took on the (frankly, quite fun) task of sampling some of the town’s most talked-about spots to bring you this guide. From that family-owned restaurant dishing out comfort food to that innovative brewery pushing flavor boundaries, Berthoud appears to have something for just about every palate, just a little. These places aren’t ranked, just so you know; they are simply some top recommendations if you find yourself getting peckish while passing through.
1. Rise Artisan Bread
Start your day, more or less, in the aroma of fresh-baked bread, so you may want to head over to Rise Artisan Bread. That local bakery isn’t just, very much, a place to grab that loaf of sourdough, alright? It’s somewhat of an experience, if you’re asking me. Watching bakers at work, shaping and scoring loaves, basically adds to that charm, actually. I’ve tried that rustic loaf, that seemingly simple yet deeply flavorful creation that’s, basically, just perfect for everything from avocado toast to a fancy grilled cheese. Arguably, their pastries are worth a look, as well. Think flaky croissants and those wonderfully dense, rich morning buns, so you get that ideal sugar rush to kickstart your morning. Seriously, it’s where the locals head for their morning coffee, arguably, and it’s not hard to understand why.

2. Da Bean Coffee Company
For, that’s right, your caffeine fix, swing by Da Bean Coffee Company. This is more or less a coffee shop that offers much more than your average cup, very, very. It has, what I’d consider, that neighborhood gathering spot vibe, filled with the murmur of conversations and the clinking of mugs. Their coffee, very, is sourced from small-batch roasters, just a little, and that results are apparent, it seems. I’ve tasted that cappuccino that had this velvety smooth texture and this rich, pronounced flavor, if you want my opinion. They also feature a wide selection of teas, alright, and that’s nice for the non-coffee drinkers in your group. Plus, it might be the perfect place for remote workers or that individual hoping to enjoy that peaceful moment; the shop offers free Wi-Fi, and you, too, may find that its ambiance is calming.

Craft beer fans, you may want to take note of the Berthoud Brewing Company. A friendly atmosphere awaits you at this popular microbrewery; their taproom isn’t just that place to try a new brew, alright? It’s a spot where you might end up chatting with a brewer, in some respects, so it seems. They brew, it seems, a great range of beers, from that light and refreshing golden ale to that complex and dark stout, anyway. Personally, I found that their IPAs had this perfect balance of hops and malt. This brewery isn’t afraid to get inventive, apparently; they release seasonal and experimental brews regularly, might be. You should check for upcoming events, just a little; they, too, feature live music and trivia nights. A local favorite, I think it’s almost that place you may want to unwind after that day.

That restaurant might be better described as more of, say, that no-frills eatery, if you get my drift. Many feel that food quality outweighs the sometimes so-so dining atmosphere, anyway. In short?
