Borsh Half-Day Tours: Top 5 Picks & Reviews

Borsh Albania

So, you’re thinking of checking out Borsh, huh? Pretty good choice, I gotta say! It’s this gorgeous spot on the Albanian Riviera, with beaches that just seem to stretch out forever and a castle with so many old stories. But hey, maybe you don’t have weeks and weeks to hang around. That’s okay! A half-day tour is actually enough to get a pretty good feel for the place. We’ve put together a list of five tours that might really show you what Borsh has to offer, from digging into the history to just chilling by the water.

1. Borsh Castle Exploration Tour

Borsh Castle

This first tour is really a must for any history fan! Borsh Castle isn’t only a really, really old structure – like, dating way back – but it comes with fantastic views too. The tour guides will basically take you way, way back in time, almost, and tell you stories about battles and empires and stuff like that. You’ll kinda wander through the castle ruins, too it’s almost, soaking it all up.

One thing that’s actually quite special is that a lot of the tours actually include visiting the little mosque inside the castle. It shows just how much things have changed over the years. That old building switched between being a church and a mosque all the time. When I went, the way the sun was setting made all the stones kinda glow. Made me think, you know?

2. Borsh Beach Relaxation & Coastal Walk

Borsh Beach

Alright, if history isn’t actually your thing, or if you wanna add some sun into your day, this tour is that thing to pick! This really concentrates on that beautiful Borsh beach. Many of these tours, right?, include a leisurely walk along the shore, very stopping at little cafes, and the chance to just stretch out on the sand.

Basically, I would advise just bringing a good book, a pair of sunglasses, and kinda just soaking up the vibes. And also, a lot of tours usually know that kinda the best places are for a swim. The Ionian Sea here is almost perfectly clear and very, very inviting, I think. Some of the tours too include like a picnic lunch so, on the beach, featuring Albanian food. Trust me, basically eating fresh food by the sea breezes is so nice.

3. Olive Grove & Village Life Experience

Olive Groves Albania

To experience Albanian country life and delicious olive oil you would never ever guess that Borsh actually lies in that middle of, like, many olive groves. This particular tour, like, kinda brings you away from the tourist spots and introduces you to life in the nearby villages. Some local guides will just show you around, right, talk a bit about how olive oil is basically produced, and perhaps will actually even let you sample different kinds!

Last summer, anyway, I joined one, I joined basically a tour. The, uh, family we visited were almost too nice. They were quite friendly and generous. It seemed that, honestly, they took, quite a bit of pride actually, in showing us that whole process from tree to bottle. And like, the olive oil? I’m telling you, nothing basically tastes as good as a thing grown in Borsh. It’s very, very healthy as well.

4. Qeparo Village Hike & Panoramic Views

Qeparo Village Albania

Now, for kinda people a bit, you know, more adventurous and stuff, anyway, there is that option to do like a hike! So, a half-day trip basically up to Qeparo village that kinda promises fantastic sights. Qeparo, very similarly to, you know, some of the villages that might have just heard about are basically near Borsh. The hike kinda offers a great way to actually, like, mix seeing the landscapes and maybe burning a few calories or whatever.

Basically, don’t be surprised if anyway you see ruins of old houses and very friendly local people and shepherds herding things. Honestly, the trails can get a bit rough and uneven, and very, very steep in places. It is good, I guess, if you’re generally OK with hiking in mountains a little. I always make sure I have a sturdy walking boot when visiting. This village itself gives pretty good insights into Albanian culture which still has that influence of village lifestyle which is a plus I reckon.

5. Hidden Beaches Boat Tour

Albanian Riviera Boat Tour

The hidden beaches! Ah, there’s plenty, and kinda taking a boat seems that best way to discover a little cove. Actually, several half-day boat excursions actually leave from Borsh. They just sorta whisk you away to spots of shoreline you mostly cannot get to, is that it?, unless you arrive in boat. Also this kind of tour makes a good plan with all your family in summer.

Think clear, clear blue water that makes your heart sing when anyway, it’s as warm as possible, I promise! Most of this excursions tend to, like, include time for actually snorkeling or relaxing. Bring underwater cam if possibly. Plus, and obviously, the views from any boat anyway, alone kinda justifies taking it really. It is possible to basically get some truly great selfies!
