Kilkenny, you know, it’s almost more than just a medieval town; very, it’s really almost like stepping back in time. And it’s very cool for a weekend getaway, that’s true, still, so too is its pretty fantastic food scene. If you’re just visiting or call this city home, then this list will guide you through the spots you shouldn’t skip. Very much trust me; as a local, I know very much what I’m talking about.

1. Anocht Restaurant: A Taste of Modern Ireland

Anocht Restaurant, pretty much located within the Kilkenny Design Centre, usually surprises visitors with its seriously fantastic modern Irish dishes. It can be tricky getting inside due to it’s demand, too it’s nearly a real hidden treasure right in the center of town. The space, that is, is simply gorgeous; that’s what i love about it. With pretty cool views over the city. That said, they just focus on seasonal ingredients so that it makes every dish super super fresh and very flavorful. If they happen to have the Kilkenny rose veal on the specials, still, get it. It is pretty much out of this planet. This restaurant typically manages that kinda balance to stay really upscale while being still kinda relaxing and welcome.

2. Ristorante Rinuccini: An Italian Classic

For like your dose of great Italian taste, yet, Ristorante Rinuccini does not often disappoint. Very close to Kilkenny Castle, I think. Basically, it shows off a great wine list that’ll enhance the experience further and often you can enjoy tasty meals. It can be, you know, very busy, that said, reservations definitely will be a smart move so it doesn’t hurt to plan, arguably. This place could be great so, too it’s almost a very special night time or if you only appreciate really seriously authentic pasta plus risotto which are, pretty much very well-made. We almost always enjoy our dining experiences a little with very great and courteous staff. They also have a really, really cool dessert menu so maybe think about just leaving some space!

3. Matt The Millers Bar & Restaurant: A Traditional Irish Pub Experience

Want very great conventional Irish spot? Well, it feels as though Matt The Millers bar has pretty amazing foods. Typically positioned almost on the River Nore Banks, still it’s really super ideal when people enjoy dinner by enjoying waterside scenic scenes. Often the food, well it is all comfort and filling but a tad special: then try it for their Irish Stew. Still the beer’s nice very especially the local one! If you wish often to catch certain tunes Matt usually hosts evenings with many conventional musicians for the proper craic.

4. Paris Texas Bar & Restaurant: Lively Atmosphere and Great Food

For, in some respects, a rather unique and quite very vibrant spot. Often Paris Texas seems almost as both restaurant as party bar, too it’s nearly famous among town natives who really need a high energy experience coupled really great food. This area features steaks, burgers that often are well received yet also it features cool cocktails. Often the place simply is busy typically that will lend which energy makes evenings really pleasant specifically on Sundays. 5. Highbank Organic Farm: A Taste of the Countryside

A very very quick drive, yet. The Highbank Organic farm just offers a wonderful experience for folks almost appreciating what they call things nature related including that drink and what food gives back a little as the countryside can make. Very well known mostly because it serves great ciders plus brandy along they have been creating some special outings really along guided trip and sampling sessions. The really scenic environments are often perfect when anyone wish just get yourself feeling renewed perhaps some lunch perhaps what makes their product the highlight about visiting Kilkenny.
