Stodulky’s Top 5 Food & Drink Spots: Your Ultimate Guide
Looking for that perfect spot to grab a bite or enjoy a drink in Stodulky? Well, it turns out you are in the right place! Stodulky, is that little district of Prague known for its parks and surprisingly cool vibe, that actually has a load of hidden culinary gems just waiting to be discovered. We checked out the food scene there and put this guide together with what we reckon are the five top spots for satisfying those food and drink cravings. This is like your friendly, neighborhood guide, to figuring out where to get your next tasty meal.
1. Pizzeria Carosello: A Slice of Italy in Stodulky
Craving some real Italian pizza? Pizzeria Carosello, that small, popular spot on Hábova Street, might just be your spot. They are pretty well known for their wood-fired pizzas which give each pie a nice, slightly smoky flavor that really adds something special. Anyway, you will probably notice the simple ingredients, that are good quality. It appears they use good tomatoes, flavorful mozzarella, and a variety of toppings. Their Margherita is rather perfect, in a way. Still, I usually get something from their specials, like one with prosciutto and arugula, or maybe their spicy Diavola.
That place has an easy feel. You will notice families, dates and some groups just hanging out. Too it’s not uncommon to hear some Italian being spoken. The service there can be a bit laid-back, is that something that might bother you. Actually, they bring the pizza out pretty quickly so, in a way, it all balances out. If the weather’s okay, try and snag a spot on their patio – people watching while enjoying great pizza? It actually makes for a solid evening. Oh, and their tiramisu, while not quite as sensational as the pizza, is more or less a respectable way to finish your meal.

2. Potrefená Husa: Classic Czech with a Twist
You looking for some classic Czech food but hoping for a bit more of a modern take? Potrefená Husa, very conveniently located right by the Stodulky metro station, probably makes for a solid pick. Basically, this is like a more upscale version of your standard Czech pub. Actually, their menu includes some of the typical dishes like pork knuckle and goulash, yet everything appears just a bit more refined and visually appealing. I’m usually there for their burgers and salads as well.
I think their beer selection is pretty top-notch, they have a bunch of beers from Staropramen, a brewery, I think, a bit up the road in Prague. Anyway, this can get busy, and pretty noisy, especially on game nights, so just a heads up there. This seems like it might be more ideal for a casual meal with friends rather than some kind of romantic date night. I will add that the service here, could be better so, in a way, maybe lower your expectations. The staff is certainly efficient enough, more or less they get pretty swamped sometimes, and maybe not the most attentive.

3. Sushi Take Away: Fresh and Fast Japanese
Sushi Take Away is, as that name might imply, that place to go if you’re craving some sushi on the go, too it might also work if you want to have a relaxed dinner. Arguably this little spot on Kukulova Street turns out some decent sushi and other Japanese things like ramen. And the word seems to have gotten out, too it can get fairly busy during lunch and dinner rushes.
As a matter of fact their fish, surprisingly fresh for a take-out spot. Their spicy tuna roll packs quite the punch, so too I usually like their salmon sashimi – simply, thinly sliced and consistently great. Their prices are probably good. It looks like you can grab a very solid meal without spending a fortune. You know, the place, small and functional. It might be best for a quick bite rather than sitting there for an extended meal. Yet, the friendly staff kind of make it what it is.

4. Cafe Therapy: Your Neighborhood Hangout
Trying to find somewhere you can chill, meet with people, and get a coffee or small bite? Basically, Cafe Therapy on Archeologická, it seems like it has a neighborhood gem feel. This little place, with cozy armchairs, warm lighting, that seems perfect for just hanging out. I’d guess they offer good coffee, pastries, and usually some kind of simple lunch options as well.
That’s right, this feels welcoming. So too they are running specials. Plus, this probably tends to be a local’s favorite so don’t be alarmed if folks seem to know each other, anyway the staff are typically super friendly and you may not stick out as an outsider. Like your place for that solo coffee date, or maybe just catching up with a friend.

5. Restaurace U Blatarku: Traditional Czech Pub Experience
You’ve never been to a proper Czech pub, right? You know, like with all of the wood, and pretty inexpensive beer. At the end of the day, Restaurace U Blatarku, located on Petržílkova, this probably is your spot. Seemingly, inside it smells like beer, roast pork, and that specific Czech cigarette smoke, anyway, this isn’t really one of those fancy places. It just looks like its a straight-up, no-frills Czech pub, that kind of reminds us how they were back in the day.
In any case, order yourself a Pilsner Urquell. Basically, they have really friendly service. We have been going there forever. Plus, they seem like they have live music and that atmosphere, I guess this might be it, it feels fun to us. You know, if you plan on getting late to catch your train after a beer in hand?
