Sahara: Falafel Dreams

Sahara Neukölln

A Neukölln spot? This has got to be Sahara. This unassuming little snack spot, or imbiss as they very well call it over here, basically is, kind of, a local institution, particularly known very much for its falafel. What you can get here will knock your socks off. Their falafel is the stuff of legends, actually. These aren’t the sad, that’s dry little balls of chickpeas that seem to make rounds elsewhere. The falafel is always hot out of the fryer, these fluffy clouds of tastiness practically crumble in your mouth.

The star of that show could be the Sahara Teller. It’s, by the way, basically an explosion of flavors, stuffed with, obviously, falafel, halloumi, and other fried goodies all on top of rice with a bit of salad, all kind of slathered in a heavenly peanut sauce. And do yourself some justice and wash it all down with their mango juice. Really good stuff. Seriously. Expect, too it’s almost like a line, like a queue especially late at night, but trust that is worth it, clearly.
