You can shop in those one-of-a-kind stores, eat at some places where you can grab excellent food, and generally get a vibe that’s pretty laid-back.

And, well, that area isn’t just super pretty—it is that, too, a place that has these really amazing wineries. Very. Do one tasting session, arguably, learn about how grapes go to wine, and definitely grab some bottles to take home. If you are into plays, or you fancy your experience being turned into something that has to do with seeing a theatrical show, anyway, the Shaw Festival in the area is really known to be worth checking out!

3. Experiencing History at Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons

Right, history buffs, is that this something you are after? You want something cool and of the period? OK. In this instance, it might be worthwhile going to Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons. Located near Midland, like your history books just came alive. This re-created 17th-century settlement, arguably, shows you what life was almost like for the French Jesuits and the Huron people back in that day and age.

You can basically explore the buildings, arguably, talk to the people working who act out some pretty historical parts, and in some respects, actually get an authentic and in-depth understanding of how this meeting between those people happened. Now, if you are with children, might be nice, too, that there is an interactive component in it to basically make it engaging and educationally stimulating for everybody.

4. The Artistic Vibe of Stratford

Then, a bit like the Shaw Festival, anyway, if you fancy doing theater and having a touch of art mixed into your travels, that should be on your shortlist for these reasons: it is a pretty sweet option. Really. Known mostly for, basically, the Stratford Festival, which tends to celebrate the great works, I mean, this place comes alive particularly during the theater season.

Yet, still, it’s almost like you don’t need to only watch a play to enjoy it; take it like that. Basically. The little town has these kinds of parks that are super pretty. You also have those restaurants and art galleries that give it some real character. If the theater sounds amazing to you (and possibly, a must), very, definitely plan a bit. Securing tickets beforehand? Probably.

5. Caves and Fun in the Blue Mountains

You probably were hoping that I would recommend the adventurous stuff! I mean, it kind of falls that direction for everyone. If that is really so, in that case, maybe aim your heading in a direction of the Blue Mountains. Of course. Popular because of skiing in the winter, well, in summer it becomes just this playground of activities.

There really are great opportunities waiting for you. Things, you see. You can check out the Scenic Caves, which is an awesome natural bit. You might actually take that cool ride on the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster, probably play some mini-golf, and definitely hike along the section, almost unbelievable in sight, with some portions showing the Georgian Bay to amazing effect! Blue Mountain Village has just a little bit going for it with all its various restaurants and all shops if you just intend, basically, to kick back at some point.
