If you’re checking out the Costa Blanca and hoping to find a neat way to soak up its sun-kissed charm, well, a cruise or sailing tour is almost certainly the way to go. It is that with its gorgeous coastline, made of cliffs that seem to rise forever, hidden coves just out of the way, and waters practically made to be sailed upon, the Costa Blanca is just perfect for a day–or even longer–out on the water. So, really, picking just five amazing cruises and sailing tours is a bit tricky, but it is what I’ve gone and done. These tours provide different perspectives, different experiences, and, definitely, different ways to make some fantastic memories.
1. Luxury Catamaran Cruise from Denia
Picture this: you are stretched out on the deck of a luxury catamaran, like your sipping on a cool drink, the Spanish sun warming you up, and the view of the Costa Blanca just unfolding as you sail. This particular cruise from Denia pretty much offers exactly that. It could be the kind of relaxing experience that really lets you get away from everyday things.
That, is the beauty of this kind of catamaran trip, really, you know, it gives you a certain stable and super comfortable sailing experience. So too it is almost like you are getting on a floating resort. And, if you are feeling up to it, usually, they make a stop where you get the opportunity to jump in the water for a swim. Like your swimming, or perhaps even trying some snorkeling in the pretty clear waters.
The crews? Pretty attentive and professional, usually, there, to cater to any of your needs. I mean, they want you to enjoy. You’re sipping champagne while viewing the views that are just magical, really? Oh and they provide a tasty lunch too! You can discover what travelers are saying about this trip. 2. Sailing Experience in Altea
Ok, so, maybe you really fancy something more personal and authentic, this sailing experience in Altea may be a perfect choice. Rather than going for the larger group cruises, it provides a very intimate experience as you’re setting sail with experienced sailors who just know the waters like the back of their hand.
Is that the great thing regarding this experience, anyway, you know, you actually get to participate in the sailing. What I mean is that you can learn a little bit about sail handling. It is what the experts show you ropes. In the same way it offers views of the coastline from a whole different perspective, it might be what makes Altea that extra little special. A little romantic, slightly charming.
And you could find yourself sailing past spots like the iconic Altea church with its blue dome roof, by the way or taking a peek into secluded coves and swimming. The sailing folk running the show can generally suggest the optimum little spots to halt and take it all in, alright. Read our full review: Sailing Experience in Altea Full Review and Details

3. Boat Trip to Tabarca Island from Santa Pola
Tabarca Island is this small, but incredibly picturesque island just off the coast of Santa Pola, anyway, and that a boat trip there is simply a must. Don’t worry if you didn’t bring snorkeling gear, really – usually you have some to rent once you’re there. The island itself provides some neat dining spots where you might sample some local seafood or pretty authentic Alicante cuisine, usually.
As I was saying that is, even with a bit of historical importance to it, Tabarca presents the former pirate hideout and what remains is a story told from every corner! You might wander across the little village streets, go up to the lighthouse and check out that gorgeous beach. It is an outing that combines somewhat history, wildlife and a pleasant boat journey! 4. Coastal Cruise from Calpe with Swimming and Snorkeling
Oh, that’s Calpe. So if you’re around there you should make certain you check out the towering rock that is called the Peñón de Ifach. The rock pretty much dominates the skyline. That a coastal cruise out of Calpe would likely present you with breathtaking perspectives of it from the water.
These cruises are typically more laid back and they provide you the ideal chances for swimming in certain, seriously transparent bays that happen to dot the shoreline. In some respects, such coastal cruises come with all equipment, so that means if there are a few amongst your bunch who wish to do snorkeling you could basically just go and explore just what hides underneath the turquoise water that’s close to Calpe!
Alright, with these types of trips, usually, drinks and snacks are supplied on board. In fact, the environment could become really joyful because other travelers will probably tell you, first, “Hello,” and you are free to befriend other families and such, so too it’s almost a terrific method to experience Calpe a little from another perspective. Think of yourself just like your gliding through the serene waters, as you pass through picturesque coves, as the sun starts doing its nightly swan dive beneath the horizon!
I find it to be something completely special to do to finish off a day out in Costa Blanca, really – it is almost poetic really. Often such sunset tours will likely provide some drinks, and some nibbles; therefore the mood remains chill all evening as the backdrop displays its best colors.
