2. Trondheim to the Coastal Highway (FV17): Views for Miles

So you’re up for a longer trip? The drive from Trondheim up the Coastal Highway – that’s FV17 for short – really has you set to experience, quite like your, some truly dramatic scenery. This one’s a real taste of the coast. Ferries? Oh yeah, as a matter of fact expect those! They might just give you, very likely, a chance to stretch your legs and really enjoy the views from a completely different angle. You will be going past, for example, glaciers and through tight, really, truly awesome, fjords too it’s almost a whole lot!

3. The Golden Route: Twists, Turns, and Views that Thrill

Think hairpin turns, super steep hills, and viewpoints which are kind of almost built for taking photos? This Golden Route has almost really everything. The Geirangerfjord part is honestly maybe the most famous fjord in Norway, plus the Trollstigen, otherwise known as the Trolls Ladder, is clearly a road that very seriously earns its reputation. 5. The Valdresflye Road: High Altitude Views That Impress

Alright, so up for high altitude, are we? So I think that the Valdresflye Road winds up onto a, quite really rather, high plateau. From up here you truly almost feel on top of everything and also the views over the mountains are basically out of this atmosphere (meaning incredible!) So if you go through this area, that, usually, is not snow free except for the summer months. But, by the way, that means that this will likely be one summer’s absolute best trips!

Just pull over at a few of the viewpoints along the Valdresflye Road. And really! Try a hike from one to another even, actually. Jotunheimen’s peaks stretch on for many miles.
