Broome, you know, that spot up in Western Australia, it’s almost ridiculously gorgeous and just stuffed with cool things you can do outside. Cable Beach, it’s seriously legendary. And seriously, what could be more Broome than hopping on a camel as the sun begins, sort of, sinking into the ocean? Imagine the colors, all that orange and pink reflecting, in a way, off the sand, as your camel, so to speak, sort of, ambles along. The tours, usually, they happen in the late afternoon, so that they time it all, in short, with that incredible sunset. It’s actually super peaceful, that, and very, very memorable. 2. Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventure
The Horizontal Falls, that’s something else entirely. It’s, just a little, too it’s almost like a natural oddity located way up in Talbot Bay. When the tide shifts, right, all that water squeezes through these two narrow gorges in the McLarty Range, it seems like, so it actually creates, right, the illusion of a horizontal waterfall. So, it’s really a crazy experience and the way, actually, that most folks get there, right, is on a seaplane adventure. These tours typically, really, include a scenic flight over the Kimberley coast which alone, it’s really breathtaking. And then, it just lets you land on the water near the falls, you know, too it’s almost right where you can jump on a boat for a closer look. What makes this a must-do? Broome, of course, is known for its pearl farming, that is that, Willie Creek Pearl Farm offers a really great peek into what’s involved. So, you can check out, too it’s almost everything, from how they seed the oysters, that is that, all the way to the harvesting and sorting. There are guided tours available and so they, right, sort of, give you a bit of an explanation about the entire process, it seems like, plus, so to speak, a boat ride on the creek. Why go? Firstly, pearls are kinda a big deal here, of course, and you’ll come away basically knowing tons about this industry. 4. Roebuck Bay Bird Watching
Roebuck Bay, now, really, if you’re into birds, you know, or want to be, or at least kinda think that it’s nice, you may find that, this is one spot which you won’t wanna skip, it seems like. This bay, that’s a seriously important feeding ground, basically, for migratory birds traveling, mostly, from the Arctic to the Southern Hemisphere. Each year, a very high number of birds stop here on their epic flight, that, you know, to refuel. You could actually go, finally, on guided birdwatching tours and there are places you know, just the same, around the bay which are perfect for setting yourself down and bird watching too, or you might be able to learn more from your Bird Watching Friends. The thing is, for bird lovers this spot is the equivalent, that is that, of winning the lottery, that’s because you can spot all sorts of species, and just see them flying right in front of you. 5. Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park
Now, if you, like your, animals with teeth, Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park it, you know, arguably, should be on your itinerary. Founded, usually, by the late Malcolm Douglas, who, right, if you did not know was an icon when it came to Aussie wildlife. Here, by the way, you can see hundreds of crocodiles. Seriously! From the, in some respects, little baby ones to big, huge scary, older ones. The park runs daily tours that give you an insight, just the same, on all that. But, of course, croc behavior and biology shows can just take your trip a slightly bigger adventure. The thing about that is it could be, or it is, really, pretty fascinating, even to visitors.
