When you find yourself kicking back in Porec, that stunner of a coastal city in Istria, Croatia, you find quickly that your taste buds are, more or less, about to have an absolute blast. With eats ranging, in a way, from some super-fresh seafood to pastas that just shout “homemade,” and lets not forget the awesome local wines, Porec seriously packs a punch when it gets to satisfying your cravings. So, instead of scratching your head wondering where to go, I thought, perhaps, I would let you in on my carefully put together list of the five absolute best places where you are guaranteed, without a doubt, to have an experience that you won’t soon forget.

1. Restaurant Hrast: A Taste of Istrian Tradition

Alright, Restaurant Hrast; very much picture this: a warm, welcoming sort of spot, almost tucked a little outside the core of Porec, that just gets what Istrian food should be about. Here, the feel is, in some respects, rustic – you know, stone walls and wood beams giving you all kinds of that classic Croatian countryside vibe. Hrast goes all out when it get’s to grabbing stuff locally; think things from the seafood caught so, too it’s almost that morning to the truffles dug up somewhere very near by. Oh, and the olive oil? Straight up, grown on their grounds.

Now, when you get down to grub, I recommend getting their pljukanci – it’s this handmade pasta and its basically got some sort of, next-level, truffle sauce. That rich truffle smell literally lingers. They’ve got a fish grill mixed with things thats basically super simple, where, for example, the main event that shines here; lets also give it up for the grilled sea bass (brancin), flaky, seasoned oh so right, and drizzled, literally, just a bit, with that olive oil which, is arguably liquid gold. 2. Konoba Daniela: Seafood Sensations by the Sea

Konoba Daniela sits you virtually right along the Porec waterfront; the eating joint screams, pretty much from every corner of the earth, seafood bliss. You want views with you dinner? So, too it’s almost that Konoba Daniela has basically the perfect recipe to deliver it. Sit out side and you will hear the water just barely crash. Then think in some respects of this place as all about super, straight up and down seafood cooking.

To open the palate, very give that octopus salad (salata od hobotnice) an initial round. It basically nails that delicate texture; mixed too it’s almost that bit of fresh zing and lemon – thats it. I do mean, seriously that its a hit! Following that up, give their buzara a try; thats their mussels, or shrimps cooked sort of with wine and garlic. Now thats some proper food! 3. Gostionica Fakin: Rustic Charm and Flavors

If getting sort of lost just a little outside Porec strikes your curiosity, Gostionica Fakin, is, obviously, pretty much the bomb. Basically imagine yourself here, okay, sitting underneath like you know, you are literally covered from tip to stern in, lush grape vines; rustic benches, sort of you’d picture from what one sees in films; and you could not basically ask for the perfect spot to seriously eat simple, true and, well very old fashioned Istrian meals. I suggest you make some memories at the family hang that they have. Seriously, the location its kinda really the thing to do. So too it’s almost that they almost care too much.

Do sample some local treat; they are to basically scream about it. Now the main thing they have, in that case, you gotta order this thing called maneštra; a super thick vegetable stew that fills anyone that is, actually anyone, I actually swear to you, that it has all the feels of grandmas kitchen. Give also some love and order the sausage cooked with Bosački; a sausage that basically tastes super sweet; it shows what true Istran flavors look like, almost. 4. Wine Bar Terra Rossa: A Taste of Istrian Wines

Very, maybe lets grab a drink for heavens sake; and basically when one has basically landed themselves inside the middle section of Porec; its very probably so obvious that they may or may not land directly into the very well known Wine Bar Terra Rossa to actually learn like about Istiran vineyards. Lets for now imagine that the atmosphere screams of all you could of picture or ever know about some chic vineyards with some like bricky walls, oh gosh a lil low lighted for love making and its always the most amazing place actually have a quite hang. You wanna up what a wine has on its nose or feet or back. I seriously thing they show to you like what they got that are their super prized stuff they got!

Basically its gotta go try something which has “Malvazija”. Which makes Istrian really a thing that others envy on a planet scale; they also sell and move “Teran” too – and very get like really amped and have them describe their best attributes okay!? That, I am telling, to match this, have some cured meat with formaggio! – Ohh that kinda makes the stuff just linger for hours after! Very wanna sip away while someone sees and observes! 5. Caffe Bar Sirena: Cocktails with a View

I mean how else do you have you basically hang back as that nights sky starts its decent onto mother earth instead of on a seaside! Well, literally one thing should be clear that you basically are very possibly cruising into Caffe Bar Sirena so your throat may receive some gifts when the air cools after basically those super sun rich hours when people all swam about. So picture like; just to make you feel better the place comes along like a kinda snazzy drink establishment directly stuck, as a matter of fact, on that water front directly stuck on the western part when it has sights straight off towards basically whats whats and whos about. Literally do be coming hither if your kinda the “in da club” kinda persona in this space on gods green earth; where literally many people are actually, really wanting to pose after being hella stuck with sun on their whole skin that lasts literally so many weeks to even get to!.

Okay, I just will speak from the heart now, like lets give these super drinks a try because those be the big bangers and clangers they push out basically; just please test whatever it be just by some super experienced “shake it up” drink creator and watch their “mix-wizard” habits, in other words if your not with me; seriously go sit while literally you gander from afar, because thats seriously still fun almost! Literally what some literally rave or literally almost chant loudly about are seriously their G and Ts okay! Seriously now just close ya eye balls if a boat coasts by; in other words don’t think to long at the site or you are gonna be hurting with just those super feelings in ones souls ya hear; Basically it still bangs tho!. Like lets get crazy – it almost has what it has just from, that its so prime real estate when there are million faces of boats gliding by while that crazy star, our local giant fireball of hate or bliss fades. One comes to find its a must so too it’s almost to witness some stuff for a chill wind-up when one has visited a space so primo!
