So here, at the Magoffin Home, time sits still a bit, very, really. Built back in the 1800s, you know, it’s like a window into what domestic life actually looked like back then for like a prominent El Paso family. It is very grand.

You are going to explore really lovely preserved rooms, just filled with like antique furnishings. Plus, as you are going around a guide, basically, they are giving you details about all the people living here before and what role they did in shaping El Paso way back when.

I love just picturing people sitting in these rooms and having meals, doing work or simply just unwinding – getting stories about everyday experiences has the benefit of truly linking history to everyday existence! The most memorable part has to be going outside within gardens here that exhibit crops they historically raised there.
