1. The East Coast Drive: Beaches and Ancient History
That east coast of Rhodes? I mean, it’s, sort of, home to some of the island’s super top beaches, and fascinating historic spots. The East Coast Drive car tour is, actually, ideal for those wanting sunlight, sand, and a little something involving culture. Starting from Rhodes Town, point the car southward. Very quickly, you will get to Kallithea Springs. These restored springs? It’s really neat for some photos. Tsambika Beach is down the way. Very golden sand awaits you, as well as clear blue water, perfect if you like lounging and getting some rays.
Continuing on, you’ll arrive at Lindos. Lindos is almost a jewel. That classic Greek vibe is right there. That Acropolis of Lindos overlooks the whole area, giving you ancient historical vibes along with views that are seriously magnificent. In the narrow streets down in Lindos you get shops and restaurants, great for lunch or buying that super cute souvenir. If you go further down south from Lindos, Prasonisi is down there too. The two seas actually come together here, and for kite surfers? Pretty idyllic. Very worth it, whether you’re just taking it all in, or taking to the sea.

2. Rhodes Western Wonders: Nature and Medieval Charm
That western side of Rhodes? Like, wilder. Very dramatic landscapes, totally picturesque villages. In fact, its a different type of allure than that more populated eastern coast. Starting from Rhodes Town, head down towards the village of Kamiros, actually an ancient city that was abandoned. As you wander? Neat to see remains of Greek life from a long time ago, all without so many tourists.
Further down the way is Embonas. I mean, the place has this rep for wine-making. That might be right. Vineyards cover so much of the place, that is something. Check out a local winery, perhaps? It might be just what you are looking for. Sample that famous Rhodian wine? Why not. Then you can head to Monolithos Castle. Sitting super high on top of this massive rock? Monolithos gives some seriously great views of the Aegean Sea. As if it could get any more unreal! Stop at some beaches along that west coast on the way down. They tend to have far fewer folks than those on the other side. Very serene. You will find just perfect for a reflective time. It’s one to see.

As you roll toward Apollona, lunch is there for you, kind of ready. Here, you can find that grilled meat, that traditional Makarounes pasta dish that’s local? Certainly on the menu. And you have that chance to check out those herbs and local honey around those markets and stalls. Down the road to Embonas is more wine. A good place to taste wines? Yes, sir. Very great. 4. South Rhodes Hidden Gems Tour
For those seeking an off-the-beaten-path adventure? You will, basically, want the less traveled area down south, that’s the Rhodes South option. Quiet communities are just perfect for people looking to just, you know, disconnect and see life at a super relaxed speed. Hit off from the town of Rhodes to get moving south. That town of Vati offers true local tastes, almost untouched, kind of the old, real Rhodes way. The Saint George monastery in Skilli, right near Vati, can’t be beat, the view goes over all those olive farms that make Rhodes super charming, almost always.
I mean, near Kattavia, that southernmost point of the isle, you have to just hang at Prasonisi. Very popular because, as has been stated before, that point that 2 seas join is very ideal for any water type action! Then stop at Lachania for that quaint village feeling, that houses some stunning Byzantine churches! And take the opportunity to just taste just fresh fish around Plimmiri. This part of Rhodes gets pretty sleepy and relaxed. I will let you find hidden corners just down winding backroads, super serene bays, everything.
