Instead of just seeing the sights, picture yourself strolling through rolling hills, sipping handcrafted wines, that is, while discovering the unique charm of vineyards around Philly. Pretty cool, right? Philly has so much more than just cheesesteaks and history, very arguably! There are some seriously surprising wineries just a stone’s throw away, that, very ready for you to visit.
Exploring the Vineyards Near Philadelphia
Get ready to step outside the city limits, maybe, and discover some hidden gems. These aren’t your average vineyards, that is. The vineyards are producing some excellent wines with passion and local flavor very, so very carefully!
1. Chaddsford Winery
If you are after an experience that mixes tradition with innovation, it looks like Chaddsford Winery might just be your ticket, very possibly. One of the oldest and most well-respected wineries in Pennsylvania, it features a wide selection of wines, that’s for certain. You’ll find everything from dry reds to crisp whites here, actually. Think about grabbing a spot on one of their guided tours, often, where you’ll learn a bit about the winemaking process, sometimes.
Why visit?: Because they have got a variety of wines that are pretty tasty, or so I’ve heard. Plus, that outdoor seating? Just lovely, like your own patio, in a way.
Must-try: Their artisan cheese plates go perfectly with their Sauvignon Blanc.

2. Galer Estate Vineyard & Winery
Let’s see. It looks like, if you are in search of something really classy, the Galer Estate Vineyard & Winery could become your next stop, usually, or so I am told! Think art gallery meets vineyard, actually. With a focus on sustainability, that’s for sure, Galer Estate gives tours and tastings in a super cool space that showcases local art, very uniquely. That patio space has something, almost, but I cannot put my finger on it, typically!
Why visit?: For a cool spot to sip some tasty wine and view unique, local art, for instance.
Must-try: Their Unoaked Chardonnay. It is seemingly quite something.

3. Penns Woods Winery
Ever heard of a winery that blends a cozy vibe with award-winning wines? If you have, Penns Woods Winery just may feel familiar, usually! Very friendly, that is. The place is known for family-run feel, very particularly, plus, wines produced with meticulous care, that’s just a start though. They have events going on often. It could be really, very difficult to choose. However, this could be a reason why I would try it out! They always seem to have something new happening!
Why visit?: To experience that nice local feel and attend those special events of theirs, right?
Must-try: Their Merlot, particularly the reserve. Really delightful. And do not skip the cheese board!

4. Grace Winery
The charm and beauty are a huge part of the Grace Winery Experience. The vineyard itself is located on a really cute historic property, that is something to note, often. Guests get some super memorable tastings. Tours show guests a glimpse into the making of wine at this location, maybe, very much something special!
Why visit?: This venue brings about that rural feeling, seemingly.
Must-try: Their Rose, to sample, maybe a day trip. So special for a get together!

5. Va La Vineyards
Have you heard of a vineyard quite like Va La Vineyards? Probably not, maybe. Not like the others. The way they make wine here involves the entire wine region, somewhat. Also unique, the wines here reflect the land. Just imagine how magical these pours are here on any occasion.
Why visit?: To sample wine produced via all of its ingredients!
Must-try: Sample all types on a tour, sometimes, to be sure!
