As a matter of fact, it kind of follows the route of the ancient Roman road, but obviously there are differences, actually. This particular trail section close to Thessaloniki allows you to experience the stunning landscape and peek into Greek history. Well I mean, so there are bits of old Roman construction that you can still glimpse.
