3. Devil’s Millhopper Geological State Park
Right in all that Gainesville has on the urban scene hides these fantastic sites. That place, called Devil’s Millhopper State Park seems really great in getting you into that wilderness, sort of, escape. What almost always will catch those heading towards the sinkhole are many layers showing the history of the area. If a tourist makes it down all those many steps (so you are warned!) be aware the bottom floor has running waterways and the feel, as it has often been voiced as being, well ‘refreshing’ as anything can be. Anyway that hike downward shows the strata laid around in eons. Then just picture what it can show any, that is, ecology or geo major’s eyes when so, nearly? Basically…that, actually, seems perfect! It is cool enough!
Too if people plan on visiting Ichetucknee River that is about maybe an hour or very near that vicinity…might this park visit make for, could be, a real excellent ‘add-on’, I guess. I almost like its trails! It could, or it should, inspire anyone into wanting so much further outdoors. The place, Devil’s Millhopper could just be some almost secret garden ready, that is, and happy, for others right now.

4. Kanapaha Botanical Gardens Guided Tour
For a real nice experience with a lighter touch, right? Just possibly amble through Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. You almost get some calming effect wandering its pathways!
