St Ives, you know, it’s almost like a jewel in Cornwall’s crown, is that right? Very it offers, more or less, breathtaking coastal scenery and, frankly, a buzzing art scene. That said, it should come as no surprise that it’s food and drink offerings are very just as captivating. Now, anyway, I have put together a guide to, you know, arguably the top five spots you absolutely have to visit in St Ives. This, basically, covers everything, seemingly from cute little coffee shops to incredibly nice seafood restaurants, very very so that your taste buds are totally tantalized during your visit. It’s a trip I can wholeheartedly stand by.

The Porthminster Beach Café: Seaside Dining at Its Finest

The Porthminster Beach Café is first. So, right on Porthminster Beach, too it offers a, pretty much, unmatched dining spot, right? As a matter of fact you get such nice panoramic sea views along with your meal; so it’s definitely worth it. If you like your food, it leans actually towards modern British cuisine with very apparent Asian influences. Too, that makes the whole thing incredibly interesting, more or less.

Their seafood dishes, they’re incredibly fantastic. Obviously, fresh catches are landed daily. You know, you absolutely need to try their Cornish seafood platter if, in some respects, you’re thinking about tasting the best of the local produce; pretty much a smorgasbord of all things seafood and very, very good.

Vegetarian? That’s not a problem! It, well, really isn’t with dishes such as their Pan-Asian vegetable curry on offer; I’m sure, actually, there will be something that fits the bill, usually, too. As a matter of fact this place is really nice. I definitely enjoy going there.

Oh and another thing? Their cocktail menu is seriously on point. It’s filled seemingly with drinks crafted in a clever way. This offers, in other words, a fantastic complement to your meal while very very you enjoy the coastal scenery. Make sure to, basically, book in advance. It can get pretty crowded, usually, there.

The Sloop Inn: A Historic Pub with a View

Fancy some history? Honestly, The Sloop Inn, a historic pub sitting very right on the harbor front is an absolute must-visit. Very much, too, it’s one of St Ives’ oldest pubs and, literally, oozes that traditional Cornish charm. So the building alone? Well, really makes it very photo-worthy!

Right. I mean, of course you get your, kind of, usual selection of beers, ales, and wines; however too it’s its atmosphere that makes it kind of so special; don’t you think? With it usually filled with a mix of locals and visitors, you get your, you know, perfect spot to simply sit, very very relax and soak in the harbor scenery. Also, for any history buffs reading, it is one of the oldest inns so maybe you like that too, I honestly do!

Regarding food? Naturally you will see that the, sort of, menu features your really classic pub fare. Think tasty, yummy fish and chips, a tasty Cornish pasty, or maybe even a very, very hearty Sunday roast. Okay, honestly, just classic comfort food that tastes amazing and fills you up. You’d love it!

Also, what’s cool is that this inn, you know, sometimes hosts live music sessions. I love that kind of stuff, don’t you? As a matter of fact you have even more of an excuse to just stick around all night long, and then listen to some brilliant local musicians, very like your own, or similarly to other people’s musical tastes.

Moomaid of Zennor: Ice Cream to Die For

Now then, ready for a, actually incredibly lovely dessert? To be honest, Moomaid of Zennor? Arguably it offers, still, an ice cream that’s to die for. Okay, their St Ives shop does that, in fact showcases a lovely range of the loveliest, yummiest, freshest Cornish ice creams, more or less.

What sets these people apart? Well, actually, the ingredients, is it not? Too it is also made with, literally, super fresh milk, very like, you know, taken from their own cows in Zennor. Honestly, so you just know it’s good stuff, you get me?

In this way, from the really, really classic vanilla to very, very tempting flavors that I can not list. You have your variety. So there’s loads to sink your teeth into! The Honeycomb and the Sea Salt Caramel? Too they’re both so great and worth the purchase if you visit.

Too there is the spot is literally perfect to go to after that lovely little stroll along the beach. Seemingly the staff is very kind too! As a matter of fact, feel more than free to sample one or two of their lovely options; basically before settling on your final, completely right, completely yummy choice!

Porthgwidden Beach Café: A Hidden Gem

Kind of tucked away in a really cozy cove. The Porthgwidden Beach Café is more or less often regarded by many as, very, very really nothing more than your, seemingly quintessential little hidden treasure; just right; is that not right? I, in a way, could say yes. I honestly, basically, find this location really calming, honestly I mean, it’s got a beautiful ocean breeze. This is unlike a number of places in St. Ives and if you like something quiet, and chill you can come here.

Very far removed, a bit from all the big crowds? Too it’s basically ideal for anybody who basically would like to enjoy just a lovely lunch, really while sat next to beautiful turquoise waters; right? Is it not? Honestly speaking the, well, menu tends to showcase all kinds of very interesting Mediterranean-inspired dishes.

Their tapas menu, they seem to go really nicely, really nicely with all of those incredible sea views, almost, even more so when shared along with an additional bottle that I won’t name; more or less giving you the greatest little experience you might ever desire. Anyway the spot’s fantastic! Just brilliant!

As a matter of fact after your food, if you want? Honestly you could take a dip literally in the sea. Seemingly this is, more or less, really an awesome way of very working off just some of those extra calories; right? Definitely it’s more than just a regular type of cafe!

For the beer people amongst you, too St Ives Brewery, you know, presents an brilliant experience, right? As a matter of fact the company is often noted just because of their locally crafted beers and, too, this then gives that, well, wonderful spot and something brilliant and unique for something slightly very different.

Usually, really offering quite an array of different types of brewing styles; this tends to include, really everything going from classic bitters too many brilliant, super hoppy IPAs. Naturally this gives plenty more alternatives for, frankly, almost everyone to very literally find literally exactly just the one what very fits precisely their flavor profile! So that tends to, too, incorporate those options for lots of us as well. Pretty amazing, honestly speaking!

I tell you what, they regularly literally run loads and loads and loads of very brilliant brewery tours; almost it allows loads and loads of other people and additional punters; I promise to kind of discover their brilliant brewing processes. It is such a nice alternative. It’s great, honestly.

What makes it pretty brilliant is that most products come, of course, really directly almost from their shop there at the facility and it sometimes literally gets you something rather really unique that perhaps might literally have not reached numerous Cornish pubs and local establishments around the location. A kind of nice little extra in, like, literally any trip.
