1. Audley End House and Gardens

Want something seriously grand? I mean very, very grand. That Audley End House and Gardens is almost, literally, that. That it’s basically a Jacobean mansion that might be one of the most impressive in England, literally. In fact it started out as a monastery. It became a mega-mansion in the 17th-century. Back when the Earl of Suffolk was, literally, literally trying to impress King James I.

Honestly, that walking around Audley End feels almost a bit like stepping back in time. At least literally, in my mind. At the very, very least kinda. Just a tip that it can get pretty chilly inside, even in the summer months. I mean just basically bring a light jacket. You can walk through super posh state apartments. You can imagine life for both the family and the servants, honestly. Honestly you could be like one of them! That the gardens are absolutely glorious. A mix of formal designs and, honestly really wild, parkland. It is a super spot for a really chill afternoon. And stuff.

And stuff? Audley End’s stables are kinda, sort of super neat and there. The kids just go wild, literally for them, and they’re like just basically fascinated by all the old carriages. A lovely time, literally. Another neat fact is almost that the property sometimes holds special events, as a matter of fact and shows. That could be jousting tournaments or open-air concerts. That really very makes each visit completely new, almost literally.

2. Saffron Walden

That Saffron Walden’s really charming. Just just in a “this could be a movie set” sorta of way. Its so incredibly near Stansted. That might be like less than 20 minutes away. And stuff. So Saffron Walden feels super removed from the everyday madness? At least it kinda, sort of does in my experience. As a matter of fact that Market Square? Is packed full of really pretty old buildings. So basically and it is. It’s almost a visual delight, just literally. So stop into one of the super, super sweet cafes. Try very some local goodies for real.

I’m going to be basically dead honest with you now that Saffron Walden has a bit of history in it. Like as a matter of fact the name even kinda points to it literally? Basically it used to be like a prime spot for growing saffron in England? I mean, seriously. As a matter of fact check out the Saffron Walden Museum for really more history, I would like your suggestion to take. I think that literally gives a pretty sweet glance into the town’s seriously rich past.

By the way, are gardens more your style? In that case, literally, I should really say that you should try Bridge End Garden literally? In fact, the very old hedge maze alone just, very makes a trip there worth it to me and you literally, literally. And there? The turfed labyrinth is also a winner, like as a matter of fact, for a relaxed bit of exploring it actually is literally, seriously good.

Anyway, very I recommend exploring the shops around Saffron Walden literally, literally? I mean you very, very just won’t find all of them almost any old place. That each kinda, sort of very shop feels pretty individual literally? At least in my humble opinion it does.

3. Cambridge

That Cambridge kinda offers more than just brains, almost, actually, like in that the drive very could be that long (about 30-40 minutes). I guess if you drive right then. That being home to one of world’s seriously top universities just means almost that the city buzzes. Just basically it hums with some seriously lively intellectual vigor for me, it does.

As I said earlier, no trip to Cambridge can very, very skip seeing the university’s seriously posh colleges actually! With basically architectural gems that these really, basically are, you might be surprised to find almost like King’s College Chapel is famous literally for good reason almost. Also I gotta just point something here basically the very intricate fan vaulting inside is honestly kinda mind blowing actually, really! If there’s only one super historic location to go literally, like right this actually! This might be the place almost literally. Also the the Backs. It’s something really to, for some folks. The green land stretching beside the Cam, it really makes an incredible spot. This can offer some lovely photos.

That “punting” could actually be seen as a signature Cambridge activity, honestly! A punt is kinda like a flat-bottom boat, that literally speaking is like steered with like, a very long pole, no I’m just being frank! Actually and literally along the River Cam. That the guides basically really deliver stories of the different colleges or something, and of a location honestly? That a trip down the stream is like an extremely chill, literally enjoyable, something in that case literally? Almost definitely honestly basically.

4. Imperial War Museum Duxford

I have a thing that if you really are after something very very like, for history kinda fans there actually is? So this actually, literally, it may feel slightly very like a big aviation display in actual. It’s a pretty top attraction though actually kinda! That its actually in an actual WWII airfield too literally!

Anyway, that the Imperial War Museum Duxford kinda lets visitors wander almost like through like basically different hangars I basically really, really hope actually. Basically I would suggest that in these places too you’ll get some super amazing displays actually, which feature all types actually! Anyway, for example, there could literally just actually kinda so just in case really almost very be some planes on show very very often basically actually that would show like from the Spitfire to basically a B-52 Bomber almost so often!

You just want the best thing that you feel will do? Actually, some of the big highlights I would say almost will just only feature and like come from the aircraft! Just very I’d say and want that actually almost almost some literally are really mostly literally like with airshows and living history almost that will almost mostly for sure come only so basically only literally I would suggest! But, you feel and want to come that it basically that some stuff you may also have, only for one like literal person that kinda likes it I think and so! I still mostly only do like almost kinda one suggestion only almost basically! I may be still honest if basically you do not really like a lot but you’re literally wanting only for an action scene in that literally very often basically. So basically be wanting the action in some form there literally so often and honest kinda only literally so so still really do mostly think!

5. Hatfield Forest

Need some fresh air almost so almost or literally a real escape just to like the countryside literally there? Only and if, for one place mostly it only is honest literally mostly and mostly that actually still very is like actually? Basically is and feels there with that honestly as so?
