2. Queenscliff: Historical Charm and Seaside Ambiance
Make a beeline over to the Bellarine Peninsula and in about 30–40 minutes you’ll hit Queenscliff, sometimes described as this awesome, beautiful town dripping in history. Really, it’s almost like you are taking a step back in time while checking out the beautiful Victorian-era buildings, which, apparently, line the main streets. History fans will love to have a look at Fort Queenscliff, which used to defend Port Phillip Bay. Like your guide to have it all explained and, honestly, it makes it all that much better. A really incredible time.
Check out the Queenscliff Pier that gives more breathtaking view from around the bay or hop on a ferry over to Sorrento for more touring. 3. Great Ocean Road: Coastal Splendor
While that Great Ocean Road starts near Torquay, setting aside an entire day driving along parts, but not all, this legendary route allows you to discover even more spectacular seaside scenes and small villages along the way, that. The drive out to Lorne is quite wonderful. You pass great scenic stops like the Split Point Lighthouse that’s just before you get to Anglesea. Or simply enjoy the fantastic vistas along the route.
