So, if you are planning to go, here are a few thoughts. First, wear something comfortable and light. Loose-fitting clothes are really your best friend in the desert heat. You should also bring a light jacket or sweater, as the desert can get surprisingly cool at night. It’s a good idea to wear sandals or shoes that you can easily take off; you’ll definitely want to feel the sand between your toes. Seriously, don’t wear your best shoes.

Another thing is to manage your expectations. A 7-hour safari is, by its nature, a well-organized group tour.
