Slipping into the water, it’s like, sort of surprisingly warm and you’re just immediately surrounded by all this activity. Seeing a giant humpback whale breach, just launching its whole body out of the water, is an experience that you will, like, absolutely never forget. Sometimes, you just might see a mom and her calf swimming together, or maybe even just a powerful tail slap on the water’s surface, which is, honestly, just as amazing. The captain is really good at getting the boat to a respectful distance where you can, you know, get a really great view.

A Closer Look at the Crew and Onboard Amenities

Okay, so beyond the main events, it’s the little things that kind of make a trip like this, you know? The crew on the Koa Kai was, to be honest, super on top of things, always making sure everyone was safe and having a good time. They had, like, water and juices available the whole time, and even a small snack, which was really a nice little extra on a shorter tour. There is a bathroom on board, which is obviously very convenient, and you know, they really seemed to have thought of pretty much everything to make the three hours as comfortable as possible.
