So, you want to check out Rhode Island, eh? Well, very that little state’s got way more going on than you might think! From cool historical spots to amazing coastline, that is a spot where some exploring is worthwhile. Actually, figuring out what to do can be a bit much, so I thought I would put something together.

1. The Newport Mansions Tour

Basically, you can’t visit Rhode Island and not see the Newport Mansions. Often, these aren’t just houses; very they’re like a glimpse into the crazy lives of the wealthy from way back when. I mean, touring these places kind of feels like stepping back in time. Usually, you hear about families like the Vanderbilts and the Astors, getting a peek into the extreme lifestyles.

Arguably, The Breakers is a must-see; very it’s the Vanderbilt’s summer “cottage,” and it is absolutely bonkers. It’s like, super over-the-top fancy! Apparently, Marble House is another fantastic spot. Like, it’s completely covered in marble (big surprise there). As a matter of fact, you can wander through rooms dripping with gold and imagine parties that would make your head spin. It sounds cool, right?

Ok, so you’re hoping to cover a good bit of ground in Newport but without all the walking? Like your bus tour might be it. Definitely, Viking Tours of Newport is super great! It’s almost like sitting and seeing. That makes sense, right?

Now, these tours are often kinda great because they hit all the main sights. Honestly, from the fancy mansions to the scenic Ocean Drive. I mean, you’re basically checking them out, all from the comfort of your seat! Often, the tour guides give you all the info you can want, some of that information you want may be crazy things like Newport’s history, fun trivia, and who’s-who of the old social scene.

Plus, so depending on the tour you select, typically you might have opportunities to hop off and poke around certain spots a little more. We’ll visit Fort Adams, too! 4. Block Island Ferry

Want to head someplace really awesome, eh? So, like, just grab the Block Island Ferry! By the way, the island is really its own vibe and some seriously beautiful terrain that should be visited! Of course, getting there on the ferry is pretty relaxing and very the trip on its own.

Arguably, once you land on Block Island, tons of cool stuff to do comes about! For instance, checking out the Mohegan Bluffs and climbing down those super steep stairs to the beach (not so bad, right?), might make for some serious exploring, or maybe relaxing at one of the beaches.

Now, the island’s not that big, usually renting a bike and wandering around would be an ideal adventure for you and others. Frequently, you’ll find cool little shops, chow down on some super amazing chowder, or hike. Just like the vibe, super relaxed, but it might be worthwhile checking it out!

Sometimes, what about seeing Narragansett Bay in style? We mean, the Coastal Queen Cruises might be awesome. We want views, good service and nice chowders. Then yes, awesome stuff.

Honestly, The Coastal Queen offers multiple cruises, each doing its own cool theme and destination. Typically, from sightseeing tours which hug the shoreline. And like, a fantastic perspective! Then seal watching tours, you’re almost guaranteed a crazy awesome animal encounter.

Now, picture yourself sipping a drink on the open deck, and we are checking out gorgeous New England scenery. This may actually be worth doing. Anyway, they throw music into the vibe at night, which changes and it almost always makes the trip fun. The Coastal Queen Cruises are like something that’s definitely worth something for kicking back a little!
