A lot of people, especially the younger crowd, absolutely love this part. For others, it’s sort of a fun spectacle to watch from one of the upper decks. If you don’t fancy being covered head to toe in suds, it’s very easy to just stay out of the way. So, at the end of the day, you can join in or just watch, which is a pretty good option to have.

First, bring a lot of high-factor sun cream; the sun reflecting off the water is, frankly, really strong. You’ll definitely need a towel, and maybe a change of clothes for after the foam party if you plan on going somewhere nice straight after. A waterproof phone case or bag is, honestly, a very good idea for taking pictures during the swim stops without any stress. You may want to bring some cash for things like ice cream or professional photos, which are often sold on board as extras.
