In a way you get a glimpse of the River Wharfe and the pretty Yorkshire Dales scenery. The drive might be just a bit short, it might be too short, yet, the viewpoints you’ll find are absolutely breathtaking! This is what I found, as I was saying: When you leave the abbey, follow the B6160. It tends to be incredibly smooth! A bit more than expected actually. Along the way, there is actually charming little villages, just a bit cute too! Don’t forget to stop and soak it all up! The roads tend to be fairly manageable, but, sometimes they can be a bit narrow. Usually, they might need a little extra care, but that’s what makes it interesting! Next up, there’s the Dales Discovery Drive and it’s really something special. Usually, people consider it for longer trip that might even let them discover the real heart of the Yorkshire Dales. You know? Basically, right from Bolton Abbey, take the roads towards Grassington. That might be somewhere that catches your eye and it really might. Also, from there, keep on going, heading deep into the national park! At the end of the day, what you might actually get will simply take your breath away. Anyway, what I liked when I was doing this was the varied landscapes. Seriously. Sometimes you see a rugged moorland, very, very far and wide! Yet you might be lucky and actually see green dales, which might make your photos a bit incredible. Usually, the drive isn’t complete unless you stop by villages like Kettlewell, cute, right? Actually, the charm is just something out of this world, as a matter of fact.

Just a little secret, though: keep in mind this drive may be slightly longer, a bit demanding if you haven’t had that type of travel style. Very, very long it really can be.
