2. Baños: A Playground of Thrills and Hot Springs
Baños could easily earn its nickname: “Gateway to the Amazon.” Really, after leaving the highlands behind, that lush, nearly cloud forested setting starts popping. That is that point where you have yourself options! Just possibly: try a zip line ride, actually. Usually, traverse one of the numerous waterfalls (like Pailón del Diablo – an experience that’s loud!), or that might soak for a bit in thermal springs. To be honest, Baños almost certainly presents that very satisfying mix of adventure sports and peace— very ideal when trying to relax a little after getting active for some time!

3. Guayaquil: The Pearl of Ecuador on the Coast
That coastal hub, Guayaquil, seems to be nearly four hours away, although that is, basically, an ideal day tour. And so you could discover quite a difference. That iconic Malecón 2000 area on the water has those statues, gardens and history waiting. You know, then that very charming, pretty much colonial area around Las Peñas provides art that’s all kinds of different. That includes very brightly colored houses built on that hillside that’s pretty steep. Just for instance, walk the many steps to that lighthouse (El Faro), actually! 4. Ingapirca: Exploring Ecuador’s Largest Inca Ruins
How very fascinating, as a matter of fact, you have the biggest collection of Inca ruins you would see in Ecuador. Usually, a trip down to Ingapirca almost certainly transports visitors through stories linked, arguably, to Inca-Cañari civilization. The famous Temple of the Sun kind of stands out given its very precise masonry that showed us just that much the Inca people could build. It’s pretty interesting walking all around the ruins! Balbanera Church may arguably feel the title as possibly being the first place of worship founded on these soil given those ancient roots.
