Paros is admired for its classic Cycladic charm but so, too, it’s known for being slightly less crowded than Santorini or Mykonos, while Antiparos, located just a short boat ride away, boasts an even more relaxed vibe. Syros, being the administrative center of the Cyclades, contains a unique character, that is, a mix of Cycladic and Venetian influences. A walking tour of Ermoupoli, which is its capital, will likely show you the city’s architectural beauty, containing the grand Apollo Theater (a miniature version of La Scala in Milan), and the Miaouli Square, which is like a hub of activity.
