1. The Pottery Wheel Experience at Ceramica Lanzarote

Pottery wheel

Ceramica Lanzarote does provide an experience that, yet stands out for its hands-on approach to pottery, you know? it is really very exciting. Located just outside Arrecife, the studio offers workshops where you can get your hands muddy and mold your own ceramic masterpiece. It’s that, like, a cool activity for adults and older children, and no prior experience is necessary, so just anyone can come and create. What makes this workshop special is that they focus on using local volcanic clay to create truly unique art, too it’s almost an art project. During a recent visit, I witnessed a family really make great memories, and by getting creative and totally absorbed by the feel of the clay between their fingers – it looked ever so lovely. Plus, you get to take home your creation after it’s fired, making for an extra wonderful keepsake of your Lanzarote holiday.

The sessions here tend to run for about 3 hours, and cover everything from the preparation of the clay so that your art project doesn’t fail. Right through to using a potter’s wheel, and learning glazing techniques. It’s typically an immersive learning experience and really an amazing fun day out. Booking is obviously advisable as it’s that bit that means you won’t have a wasted trip. But it’s pretty flexible to allow you that opportunity. A good chance, may be, to support the local trade that way.
