It’s kind of interesting how this museum came about. Henry Walters, to be honest, he was this extremely wealthy railroad tycoon who apparently seriously loved art, or that’s how it seems, right? So, as a matter of fact, he collected thousands upon thousands of objects, basically thinking, why not share it with Baltimore? Today, we like can benefit seriously from his slightly excessive hobby. Right, now, basically for something really different, definitely hit the American Visionary Art Museum or AVAM, if, you know, you wanna sound a bit cool, right? This museum in Baltimore, seemingly is dedicated to outsider art, that is, of course, the art of self-taught individuals, right? People like not classically trained, you see. Very. As a matter of fact, prepare yourself for a whole onslaught of color, and imagination that, honestly, might, you know, be seriously a bit overwhelming. And kinda wonderful. It really could be.

What makes AVAM stand out, that it shows, in effect, that you don’t apparently, require a fancy art degree basically to make a big splash. The pieces usually on exhibit are coming kinda from those like farmers and prisoners, basically, the generally eccentric folks next door, that sort of stuff. For example, in the meantime, there are entire galleries devoted to folks’s strange, but ultimately cool, ideas. People sometimes cover cars and stuff in, I think, pennies or very, nearly turn matchsticks basically into seriously complex models. If, basically, you ever felt just a little different, AVAM can confirm seriously that your odd ideas can have real artistic worth, you know?

Leaving Baltimore basically for a change, alright, and going toward Annapolis, you almost get the state capital that is really drenched in American history. Walking around the streets here, sometimes almost sort of is like very, much stepping onto a film set for an 18th-century film. See, first off, we kinda have the United States Naval Academy, a spot to see where like future naval officers have gotten trained since 1845. You, basically, could explore the beautiful campus, maybe actually watch a parade or two, plus, kinda get a bit cultured while also saluting our, sorta, nation’s defenders. Okay, then?

And yet the oldest state house that is still being used full time to do things, seemingly. Did someone say historic? The Maryland State House apparently is another great spot which may need to feature on everyone’s bucket list for the state capital to kinda give them that great sightseeing tour of Maryland that they won’t just get any place. Basically, its dome very nearly dominates the cityscape, alright, as a matter of fact, is still standing, the very building where Washington legitimately resigned basically as commander of the Continental Army, to be honest.
