Chilkoot Trail Hiking
First, Chilkoot Trail. It is really famous. This trail is really the stuff of legend. Back in the day, way back in the Klondike Gold Rush, would-be miners struggled along this very trail hoping to find it very rich. Now, it’s that kind of adventure where you’re walking in their footsteps, very almost. The trail runs for 33 miles. Now that’s pretty interesting. It crosses from Alaska into Canada. You could go backpacking and spend a couple of days out there or, actually, do a portion of the trail as a day hike if you want. You should just picture that kind of thing. Very think old growth rainforests, mountain views that seem absolutely massive, and that quiet feel only nature can give you, more or less. Do some pre-trip planning because, I mean, that’s a must. That is that, too it’s almost in order. Make sure you know the permit rules. That sort of thing is good to have. Be sure to give the area some respect and just generally practice leaving no trace.

White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad
You get an attraction and history lesson all rolled into one when you check out the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, that is that. Way back, this railroad actually was very significant. This connected Skagway to the Yukon during the gold rush. These days it still takes folks way up into the mountains, which is something, right? That could be something for you to enjoy. Dyea
Ghost towns actually can be surprisingly amazing. This might just be something different. Once upon a time, Dyea gave Skagway some tough competition for the people rushing to the Klondike. Then a avalanche wiped out much of Dyea, so there wasn’t much of Dyea left. Now, what’s remained is just the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. I like that they are around. It is really quiet, there. What I suggest is that you check out the trails and the scenic vistas because it’s very, very relaxing and you can explore a tiny portion of local lore too.

Skagway Fish Ladder
I find that fish ladders could actually be a cool, unusual little place. This is something that could easily make it to the list. Now, it really works by making like a stairway that enables the fish to travel upstream around the rapids, as I understand it. The better thing is, really, when it’s that time of year, it’s not very hard to watch salmon jumping and trying to go upstream. Now for any photograph enthusiasts, or for someone into wildlife, this will definitely be it, alright.
