While the city has got energy that is absolutely captivating, what is very cool is that it’s actually surrounded by so many, rather special places that are just calling for you to visit. What is very exciting is that if you find that you’ve got, you know, just a day to spare, you can easily trade the urban rush for very serene beaches, totally historical spots, and amazingly scenic landscapes. So, are you totally up for switching gears and seeing more of what this country has to showcase? You are very lucky, then! 1. Grand-Bassam: A Step Back in Time

Grand Bassam Ivory Coast beach

Grand-Bassam, with it’s a kind of a history that is something to see and golden coasts, well it is actually situated just a very short drive from Abidjan, is that it? What is something is that it offers what feels like a total leap back into time. That old colonial capital, which actually got UNESCO recognition, well it is pretty chill with the buildings there painted that iconic pastel. What is really interesting is that you can stroll leisurely down streets like that main drag there, noticing what you see – ancient, historic architecture that will, almost, tell you so many old tales of colonial grandeur. You should definitely swing by the very interesting Musée National du Costume, what? It presents a whole lot of, basically, traditional Ivorian attire that are so fancy! And, it might be nice to just get some ideas, really.

After maybe feeding your curiosity, you can kick back down at the beachfront with such soft, soft sand that feels really gorgeous between the toes. It seems like Grand-Bassam might be ideal if you are actually needing time away to really recharge – and all whilst having, I guess, that bonus dose, or a touch, you might even say, of the history culture there in Ivory Coast. You can, still, find plenty of cafes and snack spots offering that locally famous “aloko,” and if you didn’t already know, it’s that fried plantain delicacy that’s that signature foodie thing to have while you chill at beaches down this way, which are a bit less busy, yet so gorgeous.

Assinie-Mafia Ivory Coast beach resort

Assinie-Mafia, is that an actual name? Yeah! Assinie-Mafia, yet located slightly farther than Grand-Bassam down this lovely coastline here, basically, gives beachgoers so many things! It almost feels that that laid-back setting does something for everyone’s mental reset, what is very key there. The place almost seems best known though for all these super clear beaches with just like smooth stretches with the sands being so white. Is that actually a river estuary where you are headed towards? Apparently yes – basically where the Atlantic merges along with some lagoon waters offering scenery and things, what? It makes this spot just right in so many different kinds of ways.

There are a lot of, like, nice resorts stretched out all along Assinie, so, which ones fit for all sorts if you like to maybe laze around while getting pampered at a beach club to watersports? Are you one to go for it? Sure, some choices will cater. What may also be fun? Just, arguably, taking on all these kinds of water escapades that range from jet skiing up to paddle boarding when the wind drops, depending whether you can see straight! You may often also catch the sight when local fishermen are just off sailing through these sparkling waters – yet doing, actually, pretty nicely in their crafted boats while putting out the fishing nets to get all these day’s hauls. Very locally picturesque!

Should you just fancy sort of switching those beaches to, oh, I don’t know, greenery for real freshness in your experience? Well then there’s a solution – Banco National Park should actually do really nicely. Just smack dab not far right into Abidjan this offers some quick break when nature beckons. Is the park there? Well it’s really well renowned for such easy trekking options for everyone with its super green forestry spots filled with such native kinds plants. You will even spot what I would assume are just totally wild species, in some respects!

When, probably, wandering various park ways here just know you need sturdy boots. And you almost kind of feel like just moving away into someplace so utterly undisturbed. Maybe that little babble can be explained better if I said you might hear all these gurgling streams then which is actually pretty relaxing, really. It just makes you know as that backdrop. You can still just often be lucky in, maybe, coming face-to-face to monkeys going about living their days through trees, really too. Does the quiet environment just provide what seems some kind of really refreshing place that’s all wrapped up in some urban jungle? Yeah totally. That’s exactly its appeal!

Should it grab you by just how people just live right along that Ébrié Lagoon with houses standing there upon some sturdy stilts? It probably will, yeah! Is the place just that postcard image when we consider Ivory Coast at this place? Maybe this place deserves all those picture perfect descriptions so much; I almost actually agree with you very greatly on how you would feel once seen for reals – very unique vibe really too actually if this really should ever get compared at anything around other waterside community locations – seriously, yeah!

When it may come when needing, maybe, like that authentic culture dose well, in that situation, how about we try heading along through, almost, such totally still canal waters along inside one local boat, right? Now would these give people insight to get all this lifestyle first hand you think when they just see up here? Yup! So, that means meeting those locals, and by understanding how communities will always interact day upon day from this part it totally will allow one appreciation from this different kind to life there – yes?

Bingerville Ivory Coast botanical garden

Bingerville, or whatever; should there be what anyone might go seek; is it still historical? Arguably it is yes, along what it may or might not display! That once one-time very capital displays botanical displays through what? Totally green botanical park grounds over where there will, arguably too; at once there are what others have seemed might be some pretty colonial remains at times maybe too; probably the area might just grab more as tranquil to just, arguably too, relax down for that calm tempo!

How may what everyone considers through from what goes upon for there through one park that is big you think: Is everyone always just free for there? Yeah just strolling always sounds very good, probably. How if viewing various green kind settings right near with totally lush things will be to watch too then hmmm? Should anyone be lucky, might it give great sightings from those exotic plants everywhere right on ground at gardens from them too ohhhhh, is that almost as if what happens so much anyway and such! The museum around which tells just more details with how this whole area’s evolution even developed still proves really interesting if everyone feels the urge to even touch even at those details – like your curiosity side.
