For those that are up for something much harder, then, very honestly, consider tackling Mount Marcy, which is that highest peak in New York. It’s a long day, but it will leave you feeling awesome. Just, yet be ready for a serious workout!
There are plenty of other trails to discover, each with its own level of difficulty and views, but what’s great about hiking here, is that it all provides options. Camping: Cozy Spots and Wilderness Retreats
If you actually love being out in nature all day, that there is really no better way to do that than camping, am I right? The Adirondacks is that area with tons of spots where you could pitch a tent, ranging from organized campgrounds with loads of features to pretty isolated spots way out in the forest.
Fish Creek Pond Campground, in some respects it offers things such as showers and flush toilets, actually being almost ideal if you enjoy a bit more comfort with your outdoor experience, in fact. It’s a pretty big place, and has access to some very lovely lakes. Therefore it is almost really ideal for canoeists or kayakers. I mean, who doesn’t want to start a camping experience that has comfort and beauty?
For those feeling like they should get far away from the crowds, though, then, you know, backcountry camping may be just what you need, basically, even being what many hikers love. Very frankly, it does require some more planning since you need to carry everything on your back and often hike quite a distance, I mean. Yet imagine how rewarding that would feel!
Of course, do remember that with all the animals around here you will have to know how to hang your food properly in a bag for bears. Also do pack out what you pack in. Because as some would say, keeping nature untouched can let the area be enjoyed for some time! Make sure to be careful!

Kayaking and Canoeing: Paddle Through Stunning Waters
Imagine now calmly drifting on one of the hundreds of pristine lakes and rivers that the Adirondacks provides, I mean, is there any place better for kayaking and canoeing? Probably many other spots are, but they’re so much harder to get to!. So the lakes are like a giant playground, and there’s no end to where you can paddle here.
Basically, a popular choice is a paddle on Lake Placid, in fact offering gorgeous mountain views and clear water. There is quite a bit of exploring, or even rent a boat to make this much easier.
In case you would want a more isolated setting, consider heading out to the St. Regis Canoe Area, usually only permitting access for paddlers, being almost so incredibly remote that its great. It’s more or less great for multi-day trips because there are a lot of waterways to explore with options for camping.
Oh and also always remember that safety has to be considered while exploring. It’s best to carry a life jacket or a paddle.

You know, if you’re into fishing, there’s some really solid reasons the Adirondacks should be on your list of must-visit places. Lakes are teeming with several species, there’s trout and salmon or bass! In some respects you should check out this angler’s paradise!
Some of the popular fishing locations include Lake George that you could spend a day casting a line while enjoying seriously remarkable views. Many of the lake is rather easy because boat rentals are available! However it is important to research any spots on the water, since boats tend to be extremely active and the lake itself rather massive.
Then, if that isn’t for you, yet want to escape the boats, there’s countless of other lakes and rivers with calm surroundings, I mean!. Basically that sounds peaceful am I right?! Make sure you have your permit and research about the location!

Mountain Biking: Thrilling Rides Through Nature
When you need some excitement with a dose of nature, then that could be your kind of thing, in some respects. Because the area’s landscape might just have some spots for that perfect trail, in other words, maybe something the heart craves.
Basically you want to visit the trails around Wilmington and Lake Placid because these spots do tend to be where all the mountain bikers go. Wilmington does actually offers all levels from beginner, or people needing practice, to something where the advanced skills actually needs honing!
Not only this, the trails there, yet I may be over emphasizing this a bit, but what I am trying to say, is that other smaller parks or woods are fun to explore and try new tricks too.
In fact always remember to wear a helmet, or to ensure you have working bike equipment for any unplanned event.
