Banff! It’s pretty famous for mountains, lakes, and that air that just feels, you know, super fresh. That’s exactly why people from, like, everywhere are drawn to this little corner of Alberta, Canada. Figuring out how to actually see Banff is almost its own challenge. I mean, there is all kinds of tour possibilities and each is supposed to be, pretty much, better than the last! After looking around at the options and, maybe even more importantly, actually checking a few things out myself, here is a little rundown of, arguably, the tours and cruises that you might wanna think about.

1. Lake Minnewanka Cruise: Picture-Perfect Views

The Lake Minnewanka Cruise: That’s definitely something a bunch of people do, mostly because the views are amazing. The lake itself, it’s the longest in Banff National Park, which is something! So, when you’re gliding across the water, you are, kind of, tucked between huge mountains that go pretty much straight down to the shore, and I mean, it’s a treat. The boats themselves, they are, actually, quite comfy, and it is that kind of outing where the tour guides have got all, kind of, information about the area that’s surprisingly interesting! We went for a daytime tour so the light was all kinds of fantastic, but you might like, look into the sunset cruise maybe, is that something you would be into? I am told the alpenglow on the peaks that surrounds Lake Minnewanka, is super impressive.

2. Banff Gondola: Soaring to New Heights

The Banff Gondola: Okay, so taking the gondola up Sulphur Mountain, that’s, honestly, one of the classic things. And here’s why. I mean, you get in one of these cars and, like, that lift is super quick right up, and each car provides that floor to ceiling views of that surrounding mountain range, is that something you might like? Right at the summit there are these boardwalks that lead to, really great, viewing platforms where you can look at all directions that’s really something else, I am serious. The views go forever. Plus, there is also a science centre, is that what you like? And a restaurant at the top too if you wanna sit down for that coffee or something.

For anyone interested in that photo that looks, virtually, on top of things in Banff, I mean, this is definitely a great place for it, I feel like! So too, it’s a fantastic trip either early or late in that day; that light is really really amazing! That tip to see the peaks that, could be, touched with sunset is really good to hear when people say it is so.

3. Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour: Banff at Your Own Pace

The Hop-On Hop-Off Bus: If tours on, just a bit of, a timetable are, kind of, too structured, then there is that Hop-On Hop-Off bus in Banff. So how it works: It visits, like, all these popular spots around the town and then, very frequently, circles them all throughout the day. That way, when you are on the thing, then you can, very easily, hop off when someplace seems kind of interesting, and then, stay a while, and, like, get back on the next bus that goes by! Lake Louise and Johnston Canyon are the 2 really impressive places where folks spend, potentially, that few hours, that too is cool, but there is more cool spots to visit.
