Benahavis Day Trips: Top 5 Spots You Shouldn’t Miss
So, if you’re staying in Benahavis, a town known for its charm and fantastic food, that it’s almost, a great base to strike out and discover some amazing spots nearby? You know, kind of, in a way, it makes sense, especially because Andalucia is full of surprises. With that in mind, I want to share some top day trips that, frankly, you’ll really enjoy, right? 1. Ronda: A Town Divided by a Bridge
Alright, first up is Ronda, that arguably, it might be one of Spain’s most picturesque cities? The Puente Nuevo, like your, basically, is the main event. Completed in 1793, actually, I guess, the bridge links the old and new parts of Ronda that, naturally, it makes it such an amazing sight, isn’t it? If you, kind of, get there, wander through the old town, visit the Mondragon Palace to see what, at the end of the day, I feel like the nobility really lived. Also, naturally, Ronda has one of Spain’s oldest bullrings, right? Seeing it kind of, sort of, gives you a feel for Spanish history, doesn’t it? So, too it’s almost, about an hour’s drive from Benahavis, which arguably, it makes it a pretty manageable day trip, is that, correct?

2. Marbella: Glamour and Golden Beaches
Like your, similar to, a shorter trip, maybe just around 30 minutes from Benahavis, there’s Marbella. At the end of the day, what comes to mind is beaches and boats, which sometimes, that can be exactly what you need, right? Puerto Banús in Marbella basically, basically is filled with flashy yachts, and if I remember correctly, is good for watching people as they walk along the marina. Oh, by the way, Marbella’s old town basically, arguably has the Plaza de los Naranjos which provides you with all you can take of the orange trees. Is it that old towns in Spain never lose their attraction or is that, frankly, Marbella Old town is just the one you need to visit right now?

3. Casares: A White Village in the Mountains
The white villages of Andalusia often are picturesque spots but Casares, honestly, really shines that because I think it sits way up in the mountains. Okay, what actually gives you from above panoramic views for what seems like, you know, many kilometers along the coast and, if I remember correctly, through the country too. As I was saying, Casares basically shows a history because there is a castle that, basically, basically gives it a distinctive silhouette or so it is perceived, anyway. If I remember correctly, you can visit its small church. If you, kind of, take the trip, maybe you could stroll through the lanes where typically, time has slowed, giving one a unique sensation of rest, basically? I think the drive there basically, basically takes around 40 minutes from Benahavis which usually, that makes it another amazing option for an escapade, doesn’t it?

4. Estepona: Gardens and Beaches
Right, next on the list there is Estepona which, at the end of the day, it blends gardens with stretches of great beaches, doesn’t it? Also, Estepona actually put investments, kind of, recently, into making the town pretty so usually, if one takes a casual wander, you might find that it’s quite special to roam round the gardens and promenades. What adds colour, that arguably, make this destination amazing basically, basically are the sculptures at street corners. Very few of them are similar, it just goes on like that… If one enjoys, maybe I think the orchid house could definitely make your day? All that said, it makes for another spot really close to Benahavis where arguably, the destination is perfect when there’s around half an hour driving separating you so why don’t we check it out, isn’t it so?

5. Istan: The ‘Spring of the Costa del Sol’
There’s another day trip destination close to Marbella called Istan. That tends to be known as the ‘Spring of the Costa del Sol’ since clearly, it is nearby, basically it sits near hills of nature. You know, kind of, in a way, what attracts me most and seems to have the same feeling, maybe, I think it tends to be where many water channels are placed? I imagine how they travel all over that village. Still, you know, if you might have the time basically, don’t you, hike that because basically, because you might love where you will get to? As a matter of fact, it should take one some 20 min drive far from Benahavis, right? Now that there’s enough on the options, which, naturally, the decision of where you will go belongs to you but basically, Istan seems so perfect if what you are trying to find now is something close to the main hotel and what they tell to tourists a natural landscape.

With the best spots listed, it just, anyway depends which location you want to visit. So too it’s almost depends of your plans or which is closest so you reach earlier as you wake up, because for example if it’s Istan the closest location you don’t waste too much fuel so literally, that makes Istan closer. You know, like your preferences may say to visit other places because literally, that Marbella has a variety of destinations that makes it better for family and because actually Marbella has some of the hotels close.
