That is the Starlight Theatre Restaurant and Saloon! It might be one of the most famed spots in the entire Big Bend region. I mean, there is more or less no way you can skip it! Basically, you’ll find it in Terlingua Ghost Town, which kind of gives it a wonderfully quirky backdrop. So, the building itself? It has had a pretty cool history, right? This space used to be a movie theater for the local miners, that really is kind of a fun bit of trivia!
That building is now a very lively restaurant that serves up pretty tasty American and Tex-Mex fare, yet the buzz around here isn’t simply about the chow. It’s really very good! Usually, there’s live music setting a pretty great vibe. Plus, you just get to rub shoulders with a really cool mix of locals, tourists, and park rangers! Anyway, I can strongly recommend grabbing one of their burgers or some enchiladas. Seriously, I would do that! That’s what people rave about, alright?

2. High Sierra Bar & Grill: Comfort Food With a View
For tasty American food that’s in some respects quite comforting with views? Consider visiting High Sierra Bar & Grill in nearby Study Butte. In some respects, this place has an incredible patio overlooking the Big Bend landscape, right? It makes a very memorable backdrop for any meal, in my opinion, even brunch!
I mean, as for the grub, that’s really where it shines! Typically, you will see folks raving about their fried pickles, juicy burgers, and cool, crispy onion rings. Yet there’s other amazing things there, too! Their portions seem to be super generous, which honestly helps if you’re working up an appetite hiking! The inside could be thought of as fun, right? Because the decorations there have such a strong Texan feel!
So, stop by and relax with pretty good grub after roaming Big Bend! This could be the destination you need, okay? Anyway, what’s also wonderful is, that they stock local brews and the staff can steer you right, when you ask about them! Basically, I would like to add that people return here pretty frequently! 3. The Oasis Cafe: A Delicious and Chill Hideaway
That is The Oasis Cafe, so if you’re staying around the Rio Grande Village area within Big Bend itself. This destination serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in some respects! It is often praised for its comfortable location, very great service, and food that seems to be quite simple and really enjoyable! That would be exactly why I’m mentioning it here, alright?
People really say amazing things about their breakfast burritos, and that their burgers really hit the spot after a big hike! What can be even more awesome is enjoying the patio and enjoying the sun while noshing, okay? The Oasis Cafe really is a handy option when you wanna chow down within the boundaries of the park, alright?
The team working there are typically so warm and welcoming! They often know where people are coming from to visit Big Bend and love to swap tales of the region. They’re a destination worth patronizing because of that! Honestly? Stop here for a quick caffeine boost, a bite to eat or just to unwind from your explorations, right? So, I encourage that!

4. DB’s Rustic Iron BBQ: Authentic Texas Flavors
DB’s Rustic Iron BBQ offers very yummy Texan barbecue near Big Bend. You could almost just smell the tempting flavors here! As a matter of fact, people come from miles around for a bite, I suspect! Folks just rave about the briskets. Those just could be heaven on a plate. I’d visit here purely for that if I didn’t live here.
The beef has some quite divine tenderness with such an extremely satisfying smoky ring! That makes it absolutely the perfect Texas BBQ! In my opinion, it also seems that everything here is made using extremely time-honored methods, which seems to be important. They may just offer the greatest taste that you’ll find, which, yeah, they definitely seem to do!
People mention that this is just a great place to feast, relax, and chill with friends after doing so much exploring. Now there, honestly, what is better than that? Should you take a car ride over there, or just walk? Whatever suits you. Basically, go eat something tasty here!

5. Chisos Mountains Lodge Restaurant: Dining in the Heart of Big Bend
In Big Bend National Park, that’s Chisos Mountains Lodge Restaurant, yet what is extra unique about it? It’s so beautifully nestled inside the Chisos Basin. People staying inside the park boundaries, find it absolutely perfect and those making a stop can appreciate its lovely views. I recommend you check it out because of those reasons.
So, if you would love to appreciate American and Tex-Mex dishes from a vantage point with some really superb scenery, why don’t you head to that place? Often, many patrons recommend grabbing a table near those windows. Especially because of the sunset views from up here! It’s a sight you’ll likely never forget! Many folks have eaten here after their treks through the Chisos Mountains trail system! Honestly? The vistas are amazing and there’s even yummy beverages!
