Bin El Ouidane Tickets: Top 5 Passes & Tours in Morocco
If you are planning a visit to Morocco and looking for something very different from the typical city tours, you might like Bin El Ouidane, a beautiful lake nestled in the Atlas Mountains. And that’s why figuring out what tickets and tours are best for you is pretty important. You want something cool, memorable, yet within your budget, that’s what it boils down to.
1. Discovering Bin El Ouidane Lake: The Grand Tour
So, let’s look at “Discovering Bin El Ouidane Lake: The Grand Tour,” which basically gives you, like your average “hop-on-hop-off” bus tour, the entire lake in one go. Usually, this involves a boat ride across the entire lake. I mean that alone is great because you get unbelievable views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. In a way, it’s a pretty comprehensive introduction if you want to just see what Bin El Ouidane has on offer before doing anything too involved. It often includes stops at a couple of the little villages around the lake so, in some respects, you can peek into everyday Moroccan life. You’ll likely see traditional homes and have a bite of local food if you want.
Typically, the tour operators who give these grand tours are super passionate, which is just something to keep in mind. Actually, they aren’t just skippers and guides; usually, they grew up there, so, at the end of the day, they have countless stories. Often, I’ve found that it’s talking to them that gives you the most real idea about the area, its culture and its history. Read our full review: Bin El Ouidane Grand Tour Full Review and Details

2. Kayaking & Paddle Boarding Adventures
If just sitting on a boat while gazing around at nice views seems just a little boring for you, there’s also the “Kayaking & Paddle Boarding Adventures”. Basically, that one gives you some activity. Often these passes hand you the gear and give you a quick safety discussion, and then you’re just free to explore at your own rate. And if you get that option to just, I mean literally, paddle around yourself? I think it’s one of the finest ways to see some of those hidden coves that the larger tour boats just can’t get near. So, that is that. Typically, it allows you to get closer to the lake’s nature and truly take it all in, in that case.
If you choose this kind of thing, make sure you’re kinda okay with a little exercise. I mean, in short, the lake’s huge. And so, if you’re wanting to go from one side to the other, obviously, you will be tired. Equally, don’t overlook the weather. Very frequently the sun reflecting off the water makes it far hotter than you would think, which is something you should know. Oh, and water? Yeah, grab some before you paddle off, is what I would recommend. Read our full review: Kayaking & Paddle Boarding Bin El Ouidane Full Review and Details

3. Fishing Day Trip on Bin El Ouidane
The “Fishing Day Trip” might be the right move if your happy place is kicking back on a boat, waiting to catch the next whopper. As a matter of fact, the lake has pretty decent fish stocks. Anyway, typically, a local fisherman will lead the trip; you’ll have, like, an amazing chance to learn some tips and tricks and listen to some fish stories, is that correct? That might be important to know.
Actually, some tours provide the gear and bait, so that saves you time. Though just a little FYI: double check when you book. Very, very frequently, the best tours also throw in lunch, I mean a lunch made from locally sourced food, so in that case, that is worth thinking about. I think these fishing tours are super relaxing, I mean if the fishing’s good, and you will be out on the lake, so you can just bask in the view while, well, trying to catch something. If the fishing isn’t very good? It’s still relaxing, and the views are nice. That’s all I am saying. Read our full review: Fishing Day Trip on Bin El Ouidane Full Review and Details

4. Lakeside Camping & Hiking Package
Are you the outdoorsy kind? Like your happy being out in nature for a bit? Well, in that case, think about a “Lakeside Camping & Hiking Package.” So, very often, this package throws in tents all setup and ready, and so, you do not need to bother about wrestling with tent poles when you show up. That said, it can be really amazing to sleep right by the lake because at night, if the sky’s clear, you’ll have a tremendous display of stars. Plus, being away from any cities, everything’s actually peaceful. This package is the best option for really seeing and knowing the Bin El Ouidane area, that’s correct.
And so, as well as the camping, normally, you have guided hikes, in short ones, into the surrounding hills and mountains. Basically, the local guides have detailed info about the local flora and fauna; in effect, this adds to the hiking part, in my view. A bit of advice though? Pack smart. So, at the end of the day, bring layers because mountain weather is mountain weather, in short; that can change quite fast. Bring very comfy shoes too; you don’t want blisters to distract you. 5. Cultural Immersion & Village Tour
Then again, if you prefer culture more, the “Cultural Immersion & Village Tour” is cool. Basically, around Bin El Ouidane, there are a number of small villages, that’s true. So, that’s where local Berbers continue to live their lives pretty much unchanged for decades. Usually, the passes and tours provide guided tours that will take you into these villages, yet not in any, like your awkward tourist way, that is. And that’s how these are set up. Usually, the guides know all the locals; often, you are introduced into local homes to share mint tea, in other words, that is one opportunity.
I mean it’s quite special when you can actually meet local craftsmen and women, that is something that must be remembered. Very frequently, you will have the option of buying things directly from the people who made them, in effect, getting authentic handmade things whilst also supporting the village economy; there you have it! Before you set off, think about brushing up a tiny bit of French or Arabic; this is so helpful because not very many of the locals will chat in English. I have seen, too, that just a tiny bit of effort to communicate will open doors and give you a genuine insight into the community.
