Thinking of checking out Bucerias, Mexico? It’s that charming little beach town that, as a matter of fact, sits just north of Puerto Vallarta, and it’s filled to the brim with that authentic Mexican vibe that folks just go absolutely wild for. Of course, you are going to want some tickets and passes to actually experience Bucerias, and that can be tricky with lots to consider.

1. Exploring Bucerias on an ATV Adventure

Okay, picture this: you, on an ATV, so, actually getting a bit dusty, cruising through the backroads near Bucerias. It’s, honestly, quite a great way to see parts of the area that most tourists just plain don’t even get to. And, it is something different, you know?

A bunch of companies, actually, like offer ATV tours. Prices, of course, like, vary, usually starting around $80 USD. Tours often take you through little villages, maybe even to a waterfall or two, plus it’s pretty dang thrilling, to be honest.

Now, for, like, an insider tip: try to book a morning tour. You will side step the worst of the heat, and honestly, the light is fantastic for photos. 2. Day Trip to Sayulita for Surfing

Sayulita, which, I mean, is like a super chill surf town about a 30-minute ride from Bucerias. If catching some waves is like, basically, on your vacation checklist, you just definitely should go there. The waves there tend to be good for beginners, too. Like your buddy says.

A day trip is rather easy to swing. Buses go pretty often from Bucerias, too. You are going to spend like, very close to, maybe $2-3 on a one way bus. Then again, taxis are more around the $30-40 range. Surfing lessons usually cost from $50. By the way, the price covers all that equipment. You see?

Here’s like your plan: take an early bus so you have more time in Sayulita. Pack sunscreen and also bring a beach towel, you might think. Book your surfing lesson beforehand, especially in the high season, as I was saying. After surfing, that is when you treat yourself to some fish tacos at a beachside restaurant. Mmmm! 3. Snorkeling or Scuba Diving at the Marietas Islands

Now, have you been to the Marietas Islands yet? It’s like a protected national park. You might see a load of sea life, even blue-footed boobies and we love boobies too!

Lots of tours leave from either Puerto Vallarta or even from Punta Mita, typically setting you back around $100-$150, and I mean it really does include the boat ride, snorkel gear, food too! Is that right?

Check the weather forecast before you book that is what your buddy says. Sea conditions really, extremely, absolutely, completely, totally, utterly, highly, incredibly, thoroughly, significantly, fairly, slightly, quite, nearly, almost, just, pretty, moderately, somewhat, dramatically change the visibility, right? Bring an underwater camera, might be worth the money. Don’t forget to tip the crew on the boat, if they provided pretty good service! That will keep them coming back for tips, to be sure. Finally, you may think there are many shady and potentially illegitimate agencies so don’t purchase your tours on the street – visit the vendors brick and mortar establishment to confirm it’s real and proper. This way you have recourse if you require refunds or some issue with the tour.

4. Indulge in a Cooking Class Focused on Local Cuisine

Want, actually, to learn how to make real Mexican food? There are cooking classes. It will usually start with a visit to a local market, too, for ingredients and stuff and so on, more or less, pretty much, in a way, to be honest, at the end of the day.

Cooking classes, might be from around $75 or upwards per person. What you get might be an opportunity to learn how to cook dishes from scratch and the classes usually includes drinks.

5. Stroll Through the Bucerias Art Walk

Every Thursday evening, from, too it’s almost, November through April, Bucerias just basically, actually, literally, honestly, just, like, you know, kind of, sort of, really, well, I mean, comes alive during Art Walk. This is your opportunity to amble along streets filled with art galleries. Talk to local artists! Get, like, your artsy side out, is that right?

The Art Walk itself doesn’t cost anything. Even that much. You might buy some art if the price is right.

Aim, for example, for arriving just before sunset to side step any crowds, you may think. You might plan to visit on the first Thursday of the month, that way it includes special events like, maybe, live music. Very definitely make sure that you do bring some cash to grab a snack from any of those street vendors that, clearly, are selling treats, right? Chat with some artists, but don’t get your face too close! You’ll frighten them!
