Walking around is, kind of, inspiring. You see the pavilions, that, clearly, blend together art and nature pretty darn seamlessly. Venetian Lagoon rowing

I’m just being honest, is that experiencing Venice from the water? Arguably, that’s a must. Now, gondolas can be just a little, kind of, pricey and, frankly, touristy, you know? Anyway, if you are, honestly, up for a little bit more adventure, rowing could be just what you needed. As a matter of fact, you can rent a traditional Venetian rowboat and explore the lagoon at your own pace, I mean, in some respects, that sounds kind of awesome, you know? Paddling through the canals, passing by little islands, and as a matter of fact, seeing the city from a different view, very special.

Now, listen to this, you can explore spots tourists hardly see, so, naturally you will see stuff like hidden waterways, and seriously local neighborhoods, just as a for instance. Anyway, you will probably need to get just a little used to the oars. Bike Tour to Sant’Erasmo Island

Sant'Erasmo Island bike tour

Now, let’s say that, arguably, you’re thinking you need just a bit of a break from the, frankly, narrow streets of Venice. Basically, a bike tour to Sant’Erasmo Island? Yeah, I’m not kidding! We took, well, the ferry from Castello, bikes in tow, so, you see it only takes around 30 minutes, alright? Pretty fast. Anyway, when you arrive, it’s, arguably, like stepping into another world. That is, Sant’Erasmo is known as the “garden of Venice”. As a matter of fact, it’s seriously flat, so, of course, that makes it pretty spectacular to cycle around. It shows off artichoke fields, vineyards, and the relaxed island vibe that’s totally pretty nice and really is something.

Cycling around lets you, well, see the island from top to bottom and see different seriously charming corners that, honestly, you could probably miss otherwise. Anyway, make certain to, as a matter of fact, stop at a local farm to, arguably, try some seriously fresh produce and regional wine. When you go, seriously breathe in the fresh air and appreciate, very, kind of the slower pace of life and, you know? As a matter of fact, this experience is pretty good. Exploring Isola di San Michele Cemetery Island

Isola di San Michele Cemetery Island

Okay, this might seem, in some respects, very unconventional but, the Isola di San Michele. Very cool for some history and, for instance, quiet reflection, or something. We took, frankly, a vaporetto to the island, which really isn’t too long, seriously. Upon arrival, you’ll get just a bit surprised, you see? It feels very disconnected from Venice’s, kind of, crowds, just for example. The cemetery is separated into sections and has, actually, markers and statues, which is why it is pretty cool and very sobering too. It holds the graves of Igor Stravinsky, Ezra Pound and, by the way, Sergei Diaghilev.

When we strolled around the paths, we just sort of soaked up the, arguably, peace. Very peaceful indeed. Each gravestone appears to have some, actually unique story or, very, seriously commemorates a life and such, as a matter of fact, and that’s pretty neat. In the sunshine and, frankly, looking over the water you feel really, kind of, removed from it all, basically, and so you do.
