So, if you are like really ready for an experience, the Pacific Coast drive starts (or, well, continues!) in Coffs. You might be asking, is that a good idea? Completely. From like, Sydney to Brisbane – or the reverse – it’s so like a massive highlight. Obviously, Coffs Harbour is right in the thick of the prettiest bits. Instead of rushing, which can be a real downer, how about stretching your legs out there and visiting some nearby spots?

Imagine like this. First, just spend some time hanging out in Coffs itself, because, you know, it’s cute. Have you like ever, relaxed at Park Beach? Like it is the stuff of postcards! After that, feel the need to head north a bit? Get on over to Woolgoolga (or “Woopi” as you might come to find it affectionately known), is that awesome or what? It’s really, rather famous for its Sikh temple, a surprising flash of color, plus, there’s an outstanding view right from the headland. Keep driving a bit? You know, past banana farms, past like maybe a sleepy seaside village? Stop in at maybe, say, the charming town of Grafton, very famous for its bridge and beautiful trees. 2. Waterfall Way: Chasing Waterfalls Near Coffs

Speaking of beauty, is this worth looking into? Of course it is. A drive to Waterfall Way is just magical. OK so it isn’t right in Coffs Harbour, you would probably spend like, an hour driving toward Bellingen, but trust that’s no problem at all, very, very beautiful place. That scenic route packs in, just really incredibly lush rainforests and, well yep, like wow, beautiful waterfalls.

So what could you do there, you might ask? There are literally options here. The big attractions can often, get fairly packed. To keep things simpler? Plan to go on a weekday; early bird gets the best view. After you finish checking out a waterfall, you may want to consider a bite? Go into Bellingen, you might find what you’re looking for, filled with some seriously cool cafes and just so quaint buildings. Dorrigo National Park’s Rainforest Centre also typically gets fairly positive reviews, for somewhere to walk around with a great place for food and that. You get more bang for your buck doing this one.

3. Coffs Harbour to Dorrigo via the Old Coast Road

Alright so, Waterfall Way is just such a blast, how about going for something different? So consider this: an older path. What about that, eh? Right so instead of like, just heading straight for the highway to Dorrigo, take the Old Coast Road. You are bound to get the most from it!

This path, like, goes through Nana Glen, that actually offers a peek into the hinterland life you can experience and provides many photo ops. That means it offers the best of both things. Like a regular, more boring, drive, you would pass a whole bunch of farmland – this old route actually brings a more relaxed vibe, so arguably it adds a fair bit to your holiday. Plus, that is like literally just another cool choice of how you get to see Dorrigo National Park.

4. Exploring the Coffs Coast Beaches: A Self-Guided Tour

Okay, you love sand. Cool. So what do you do about that? Think that a ‘beach hop’ is a total must when around Coffs Harbour. You could start, you know, at the main drags, Park Beach. Very centrally placed, it can sometimes, be a magnet for families. But if, like, what you are craving is that quieter stuff, very, very beautiful little stretches of coast are ready when you feel ready for it.

Just drive a little, you know, north, maybe? You might land at, say, Diggers Beach (great for an early morning surf). Want something super calm? The waters over at Moonee Beach are nice. Just south of Coffs, there is Sawtell. Another spot where it’s seriously pretty. All these spots show off a very different vibe from each other, but are each awesome in their own rights.

5. The Hinterland Explorer: A Taste of Country Life Near Coffs

So let’s consider your scene there. Are you thinking about the hinterland yet? You should be thinking about it. It’s very easy just to chill around the shore, but actually, there are super beautiful farmlands not very far inland. So just to shake things up a bit, go on like a driving loop which then might head out west!

A super obvious choice for a destination is Bellingen (because people have a serious love of that spot!), where people find, so nice cafés and such beautiful scenery and the Bellingen Brewery too it’s almost an option. What happens when we take a bit of a risk? Then maybe go for like, a stop at the town of Urunga? You may see that at the point the Kalang River greets the sea is an interesting vista. You are likely to think that these drives are about all there is, like pretty scenery and small cafes? Don’t believe so! Think about places around like, the Promised Land. Yep. It’s like, honestly, named ‘The Promised Land’. Typically, the rolling green slopes here should bring you into a complete Zen moment, after you’ve enjoyed a busy beach!
