1. Tara River Canyon Rafting Adventure
Thinking of taking a rafting adventure down the Tara River Canyon? That is a classic, I feel! The Tara River Canyon is rather the second deepest canyon in the world, almost behind the Grand Canyon, and offers dramatic views. That said, there are many different trips, and those range from the easier family-type floats to things a little more hardcore with bigger rapids. This is not only just white water rafting; it’s seeing some super scenery from a view very few get to experience. In fact, many tours start in Žabljak, a little mountain town, then they head down to the river. Some tour operators may provide everything – gear, food, plus instruction — for a fee. So, check everything out before going ahead!

2. Hiking Tour to Black Lake (Crno Jezero)
Do you want to walk, so to speak? In some respects, going up to Black Lake should be your first outing in Durmitor. That lake, nestled in a nice glacial circle, displays deep water in colors you may think are black! That area around the lake sports lots of routes, going every which way. Some routes go around the entire lake (a bit easy too it’s almost 3.5 km), yet, other routes may head up higher into the hills that have amazing views. What hikers might think too it’s almost ideal is to check weather; mountain weather may change quickly. Ensure too it’s almost proper boots plus clothing if you are climbing beyond the easy paths round the lake.

3. Jeep Safari Adventure through Durmitor
Want something quite different than just seeing it by walking? A jeep safari is rather something! Many tour companies show rides by using off-road vehicles which make it to hard-to-get-to viewpoints plus mountain high spots. Jeep trips do travel thru very rugged spots, but in that case you have nice scenes of the Tara River Canyon plus high pastures in a convenient way. It’s more or less convenient since someone else may be doing the hard driving, but it might be rather exciting. Often the people that run those safari rides understand quite a lot regarding the Durmitor park and area– history plus geology — and love very much telling people. That is cool!

4. Climbing Bobotov Kuk
Are you rather a climber, really? Bobotov Kuk is almost the highest peak inside Durmitor, yet the views from up on the top can appear so great on very good weather days. You can very probably see just everything! Anyway, even though climbing doesn’t need certain rope gear or climbing skills, it’s a very difficult climb with rough spots to hike that may make you go quite slowly on the rocks. Arriving takes 6-8 hours back/forth but you’re probably stopping so too it’s almost very long. Start in the earlier part of your day time, and then make sure that you pack water, foods plus great boots for climbing hills. If people have some worry climbing by themselves guides could be hired out of Žabljak plus help make climbing quite easy and safe too it’s almost going smoothly, that is, usually.

5. Skiing at Durmitor Winter Park
Planning trips when you think Durmitor may get lots of snowfall? Now may be just great if it fits you. In winter months, Durmitor operates as an outstanding skiing spot for someone who likes to ski yet doesn’t see rather the big ski spot or slopes packed like crazy! The Durmitor Winter Park includes slopes just appropriate for just every different kind, starting by brand-new skiers to experts looking at exciting trips from mountains, too it’s almost very different in that some trails there tend very naturally and peacefully thru snow areas of trees and that is quite calming at times. What is sometimes a negative aspect is that gear hires plus trainer could fill quick thru high holiday times — it usually pays off contacting or placing hiring earlier rather before the time getting so high you very nearly missed going!
