2. Gloucester Cathedral Admission Ticket
Gloucester Cathedral, that place is quite stunning actually, is that what you think? I find it’s just one of those buildings that makes you stop and stare. So, yeah, its history goes way back to the Normans, is that what you know? This cathedral has stood for hundreds of years, and still does actually. So, anyway, that is worth your time in itself.
Inside, that’s where the fun happens actually, too. The architecture, that sort of stuff, it’s magnificent. The stained glass is top notch, as a matter of fact. Plus, the fan-vaulted ceiling, that’s something else indeed, really. Harry Potter fans, in particular, really take note: some scenes from the films were filmed here. 3. The House of the Tailor of Gloucester Beatrix Potter Attraction
Looking for something charming? So, what about a visit to The House of the Tailor of Gloucester Beatrix Potter Attraction? Quite a name, right? Now, it might be pretty niche, it is that sort of a thing, so, like your thing, might be right up your alley actually if you are rather keen on Beatrix Potter’s work. Basically, the author wrote the story about the tailor right here!
So, they created a small shop like museum in a building on College Court. So it does what it can, with scenes from the book set out as little displays with captions and of course information about the making of the book. Of course this will thrill families with kids that like Potter. Check it out!

4. Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum Ticket
Those who appreciate the Armed Forces and Military will be pleased to learn that Gloucester has its very own Armed Forces Museum. Namely, this museum focuses on the Gloucestershire Regiment, telling their story from 1694 to today. Their collection features uniforms, medals, weapons, photographs, equipment, memorabilia, and documents that tell the stories of real soldiers of this regiment and other soldiers from Gloucestershire.
So this is a fantastic way to spend a couple of hours for Armed Forces nuts, and for history nerds as well! Kids can play dress-up and pretend they are soldiers, and explore the tanks outside as well! They host rotating displays on topical themes, and are passionate about telling the important story of those soldiers. They also host an education program. 5. Gloucester Prison Ghost Hunt
Does being scared appeal to you? What about things like ghosts? Then what about exploring the former Gloucester Prison? The 200-year-old gaol has been host to some terrible activity through the centuries, but ever since the last inmates departed in 2013, people say they can hear things in the building: screams, clangs, voices, and moans!
