2. Citadelle Laferrière: A Historic Fortress in the Clouds
Okay, Citadelle Laferrière isn’t just that run-of-the-mill landmark; it basically speaks volumes about Haitian history and amazing engineering skills, doesn’t it? After all, it is situated way up high on a mountain top, this massive fortress offers a glimpse into Haiti’s past, also.
Apparently, the hike up is going to be something, so it may not be exactly that walk in the park, you know? Nonetheless, the effort to get up there is going to be worthwhile, actually. Basically tucked away in the mountains near Jacmel, this sequence of waterfalls and natural pools basically promises a soothing and extremely gorgeous day trip.
As a matter of fact, I would assume that the adventure here starts with a small hike through really lush vegetation, you know? On the way to the pools, which you will then get to slide, swim and just spend some quality time relaxing.
Oh, so the waters have a beautiful blue hue because of all the minerals, which, it turns out, basically just makes for some absolutely fabulous photos. Be sure to bring your camera; otherwise, what’s even the point?, alright? Then again, maybe take that one old waterproof camera that you don’t care if it is damaged, as a matter of fact.
Basically, so as you are traveling to Bassin Bleu, keep in mind that you’ll have to hire a local guide from the area, very. Is that not only a way to help the community out, yet it’s almost a big assist with getting through those tricky trails to arrive at the bassin’s base? Yes. 5. Jacmel: A Coastal Town Rich in Art and History
So, with its special architectural layout and active art scene, Jacmel absolutely gives that vivid cultural flavor to all that drop by, as I’ve experienced. So is this a location to visit so that you could get to know some creative corners plus some history?, really.
Okay, do be sure that you wander along those quaint roads to marvel at the structures from the 19th century; however, almost all the homes have got some of the most incredibly decorated balconies that I think I have seen, in other words.
Of course, that craft scene in Jacmel is super vivid, I mean basically super vivid, like, and you have an opportunity to see art galleries and workshops practically everywhere. It’s very likely that you’ll find unique trinkets, paintings and carvings created by local Haitian artists which basically just make the perfect keepsake item.
