Fiskekrogen… where to start, anyway? Its location is absolutely unbeatable, being almost directly on the water. Imagine it, like, you’re tucking into fresh-as-can-be seafood as the waves almost lap against the building’s foundations. This spot is that ideal combination of incredible food, and views that are, like, postcard-worthy. Apparently, the restaurant does have a real reputation for dishing up traditional Norwegian fare, but they apparently do it with a seriously elegant, modern twist. The menu, too, usually offers plates piled high with things fresh from the sea—think creamy fish soups that warm you right through, incredibly delicate grilled fish, and platters absolutely overflowing with various shellfish.
I mean, that quality definitely reflects their approach to ingredients: locally sourced where they can, too it seems the freshness is really evident in every single bite. Inside the Henningsvær Bryggehotell, you’ll find a restaurant that adds, well, a touch of class to your dining experience, really. That menu? That, well that is diverse. What it does is take both, traditional plates and modern, contemporary creations and properly combines them. Which is to say you will definitely find some pleasing to all. I mean, this could include tender reindeer, which is like an excellent local classic, to innovative takes on that classic Norwegian Salmon (obviously, it has got to be tried in all forms while you’re here). They, very understandably, pride themselves on using properly top-shelf ingredients.
It really does seem as if every dish is thought about, properly and carefully prepared. I feel I should say, the setting? It really adds something special to everything. Think gorgeous views, like overlooking the harbor and into the sea that really stretches way out as far as the eye can see. 3. Lofoten Arctic Hotel Nevelshaus Restaurant: Fine Dining, Local Style
Right within Lofoten Arctic Hotel Nevelshaus is something just a little different: a place which will be genuinely fine-dining, where they focus on proper, genuinely local produce. Apparently, this spot has the vibe of being properly top-notch, what with its proper attention to those genuinely beautiful little details, and the level of the kind of service that just somehow manages to exceed expectations, even.
The dishes, right, are all plated like some kind of piece of proper, stunning art, as well as being so super tasty to eat. If you are looking to taste Norway through its absolute finest ingredients, prepared in some genuinely innovative ways? Honestly, this is the place that must definitely be visited. Expect really exquisite fish courses and meat cooked to the degree where it almost seems, almost, that it will melt right in your mouth. I mean, this is something for people who really appreciate what it is to have good food, and it comes properly, highly recommended for special occasions or “treat yourself because I’m on holiday moments”.

4. Anita’s Sjømat: A Quick, Delicious Bite
If you are just keen for something quick, properly easy, and super delicious then, honestly, Anita’s Sjømat might just very well be your perfect little place. That vibe, it really feels like you are really getting the real, proper deal in proper traditional Norwegian fare and they properly specialise in selling seafood which tastes, as though, I dunno, it has very probably just come straight off the boat.
It feels really informal and really chilled. And, let me tell you, the fish burgers? Really delicious. Apparently also the fish soup seems to warm both hands and your heart. The seating arrangements inside do seem really very minimal, which is just fine; take away a plate and perhaps sit along the harbor. I think most people who pop by seem to just grab something and wander down to the waterfront to eat it, honestly. Perfect.

5. Knusarn: Pizza and Local Brews
Perhaps you might very well have had, I don’t know, like your fair fill of fish. In that event, that doesn’t automatically mean that all food adventures are totally finished. If the stomach rumbles, a genuinely lovely spot to check is very likely going to be Knusarn. A very cozy little place that, they are good for very very tasty pizza. Actually very welcome change for something that you will be already familiar with (though this will obviously very likely be ten times better).
Oh, that said, it is probably worth mentioning; I do believe they tend to add their very own little Nordic touches, with genuinely local ingredients too. Apparently their pizzas, too, are, just, loaded with flavor. And they also actually carry beers that are local; and it’s worth mentioning that is also going to taste really properly incredible with that pizza. Oh, and yes, their interior; this has a vibe. It’s kind of quirky; you know it is relaxed. It’s one place where a very big group might all fit in around the same table; maybe to get properly merry into those super late hours.
