Kangaroo Valley aerial view

Okay, so you’re thinking about visiting Kangaroo Valley, right? And that is pretty great since it’s just a gorgeous place! Getting the most out of a single day, very well, that often means signing up for a tour. Actually, some tours just pack in a ton of fun and breathtaking views, offering what feels like, almost, a deeper look than you would normally get going it alone. You see, I have rounded up five tours of Kangaroo Valley, perfect for folks wanting a memorable, kinda incredible day.

1. The “Wildlife Watcher” Tour

Kangaroo in Kangaroo Valley

Like, seriously, do you love seeing kangaroos? Of course! But other neat critters are pretty fun, as a matter of fact, that’s why this tour’s cool! The “Wildlife Watcher” really focuses on seeing animals, getting up close in a responsible fashion, maybe even ethically too, which I definitely like! So, typically this full-day excursion brings you to a few locations known for their huge populations of wildlife. What’s even cooler? That they have a guide, and their great insight can teach us about everything ranging from the furry ones that bounce all over the place, right on over to some interesting birds. And that might be a kookaburra. Or not. Basically, this tour is a perfect one for wildlife photographers, by the way it’s good for anybody really, that wants to witness Australia’s wildlife up close. As I was saying, it has to be in their native surroundings.

They typically kick off quite early. A really early start definitely is a plus, since many animals, you see, are pretty active at dawn and dusk. Basically, that will boost your chances to spot quite a lot of things. Still, bring binoculars. So, that can help you, too. Arguably the guides know their spots; almost you’re bound to spot roos and wallabies! After that you might see some wombats, that you usually see hiding during daylight hours.

Most tours usually include. Now you may know the details, so a packed lunch or, actually, at a nice pub they let you eat if you would like! It has to be said. Maybe something warm if it’s a chilly time of year! Typically, that way it keeps everyone comfortable too and well-fed. Actually, the lunch spot might be a plus because you are able to meet and compare your wildlife pictures with someone that you just met. It has to be said that, if you want to be sure you are bringing that perfect shot, you know you’ll probably want to be set with great camera gear, still you probably want a jacket.

2. The “Fitzroy Falls Explorer” Tour

Fitzroy Falls Kangaroo Valley

Have you seen some waterfalls? Well! So, they make you feel good in the sense that nature made some! Is that you too? Alright, if the water is running, well I would imagine that “Fitzroy Falls Explorer” tour is a really cool one. As a matter of fact, the tour usually focuses on taking Fitzroy Falls, very well it showcases panoramic views and has amazing spots nearby where, you know, some pictures have been shot to promote travel. It has to be said there’s a visitor center that tells of Aboriginal culture. If you were looking for a view, well the visitor center has several great ones. After that, they allow a really close and safe vantage of the water!.

Arguably they include things like going with tour guides. I have heard. Well you usually would be pretty glad with having the guides talk and tell what is really around, that are local. Actually, you may learn more about history and geology and you know they have an answer for things like, I don’t know the “native plant name.” It has to be said that all the guides also focus really a lot, more or less, on water quality because if the place has waterfalls in it, it can be beautiful but you really want, honestly, to think if water looks kinda off. By the way, tour operators need safety and water quality guidelines. And I do think the visitors really deserve them. As I was saying that is why choosing great quality operators matters!

3. The “Local Food & Wine Trail” Tour

Kangaroo Valley wine tasting

Okay, so, did you just assume there might be something amazing? Because I do too! Now hear this “Local Food & Wine Trail” tour for something truly very special, it does bring you to places that taste amazing. Now, I’m serious. Really good taste that is, so there has to be a reason. That being said I recommend you can find places, actually there could be some farms where some tasty meals may well have had its first inception!. A very different perspective I guess. But it can also depend. You get to tour places ranging from artisan cheese factories, you know these small shops with a distinct vibe to their business; on top of that you may visit also some really good wineries and beermakers with great and fun things to see while on a tour!

But maybe, you know that sometimes those small locations usually need to keep costs somewhat okay, maybe this tour supports local commerce by being so very special. Because small business need every opportunity to succeed. Did you know? That these locations do really often tell you their whole business’ history. But that can only happen with some friendly staff!

By the way if these locations really have some fantastic cooks on staff, I usually mean buying some bottles to help will definitely say some appreciation from the visitor! Anyway what’s super is they might ship items. By the way, I personally think small businesses should ship their stuff!. As a matter of fact it can allow you to still purchase even much later down the road when that perfect party might come rolling around.

4. The “Aboriginal Cultural Discovery” Tour

Aboriginal art Australia

So maybe for somebody there should only be but some interest to be found in just getting up close with local culture? Did you think? Actually, you would be correct! “Aboriginal Cultural Discovery” so it should be the right option. That being said, the excursion should have what it takes for you if you enjoy seeing what others hold so much close to their heart. In that case that is this: to learn culture! Clearly this should actually show the ancient history that is native, I can also say what a long history!

Very very very often people mention to be going around rock art. Still it does happen it can depend. You will usually meet with a Local guide because if culture needs to be explained. Then people should be trained on it and should feel empowered that they can say some! That way a dialogue between the guides, because these amazing speakers have fantastic skills; they also may really go beyond whatever Google Translate would come up with by getting you a feel to see culture really with local eyes!

5. The “Kangaroo River Canoe Trip” Tour

Canoeing Kangaroo River

So typically the canoeing has to be done at the river right? You might suppose? Okay I might concur. That can take you places in a physical kind of manner. Usually some tours really provide equipment which sounds neat! This way you can, kind of in that tour name you found this reading about now, can travel the “Kangaroo River Canoe Trip.” That can be extremely different from walking if you’re kinda done from moving about.

The operator just has to include everything necessary though. Maybe there’s paddles in there somewhere to turn on your thrust mode right? You know… metaphorically anyway, but hopefully they provide stuff. Still, the big benefit there is: seeing so many scenic spots.
