2. Cycling along Trukhaniv Island
Want to stretch those legs and breathe some proper air? Trukhaniv Island in the Dnieper is a great place. Locals will tell you that it’s the top destination for an active vacation, it feels. The island’s a totally natural space right near the city center, and so a really cool retreat with beaches, parkland, and less chaos. Grab a bike from many spots around the city and go onto the island by footbridge. Paths are mostly smooth and flat which means there’s a less serious terrain for all kinds of fitness levels, honestly. You will go past cool little woodlands and ponds. Take regular breaks so you can take it all in, okay?
Feel like chilling? There is actually a big beach sector to have some relaxing time too it feels! Further from there, lots of sports spots such as volleyball nets, for example. Loads of food vendors hang around if you need some drinks and that too it’s almost! One route goes across the whole perimeter of the island that does give something of a longer cycle. As a matter of fact it comes to approximately 10 km, perhaps. As you may know, loads of trails branch off into it as well. It really is a good chance to see a different bit of Kyiv without getting taken away to the wilderness. That will be a relief I know!

3. Kayaking on the Dnieper River
Speaking of that Dnieper; are you really a fan of being on the water rather than looking at it? You could rent a kayak to travel along this notable stream; I think it’s fantastic, really! Lots of stations around the beach locations let you just show up without any messing around it appears. You might fancy traveling with your own pace down towards the historic Podil district, or perhaps maybe cruise to the islands.
When I did it I actually found that it allows you a completely fresh view of the skyline, including places such as the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. 4. Exploring Feofania Park
Well, in the southwest area of Kiev, there is Feofania Park; a beautifully landscape spot, that has become something like one of the city’s really best kept little gems. If you need a break from the noise or crowds, that really would be the spot, you. With history all along its paths combined with the nature, this location does have many lovely gardens for relaxing! You might stroll among the many paths through centuries-old forests. Actually, it almost might be ideal for contemplation as you drink in the fresh air.
At this spot in the city is the notable St. Panteleimon Monastery! In other words there really is culture combined as part of nature’s offerings as well. Water feature attractions such as ponds or waterfalls exist so that photographers will want to capture the environment around them; the views may just take you to another space for a moment or two if that happens, though! 5. Hiking at Holosiivskyi National Nature Park
If hiking is definitely more along your speed spectrum; then Holosiivskyi National Nature Park near Kyiv has trails through lovely scenery it appears. What happens with something over 45 square kilometers and you begin close to the town so don’t freak that transport options are miles distant now do you? Okay then, that’s good, really. Walking here through ancient forests gives people like you a fantastic nature space.
This site consists both of moderate grade for newbies as well tough steep bits along rivers & meadows- ideal either way.
