2. Tapa Cloth Making: Weaving Traditional Art

Tapa cloth, or Ngatu, is something incredibly important in Tongan culture, is that something that interests you? You probably, do want to learn how it’s created. It seems this traditional art form, which involves beating the bark of the mulberry tree and decorating it with different patterns, is an opportunity to not only learn a bit about local craftsmanship but also the, social history it goes with.

That, is, it offers a great view! Local artisans will really guide you through each of the steps, from preparing the bark to, really painting your own designs. You could also hear stories that go back generations and learn the important symbolism behind them that seem incredibly old. 3. Traditional Tongan Dance: Feel the Rhythm
