We spent, like, most of the afternoon here. The skipper anchored a little way off the shore, and we could just swim to the beach. Some people just stayed on the boat, relaxing in the sun, which is totally fine too. Voutoumi has a couple of tavernas up on the hill overlooking the bay, and the smell of grilled octopus sometimes drifts down to the water. We had actually packed our own lunch, but grabbing a cold drink from one of those places is a great idea. At the end of the day, this spot is what island dreams are made of. It can get busy, but on a private boat, you can just find your own little patch of paradise away from the main crowds.

The Little Details: Food, Drink, and Life Onboard

I mean, the main sights are one thing, but the experience on the boat itself is what makes a day like this feel truly special. Our charter, for instance, included a selection of snacks and drinks. Around midday, our skipper brought out a platter of fresh fruit – sweet watermelon and grapes – and some local cheese and crackers. It was, basically, simple but absolutely perfect. There was a cooler stocked with cold water, sodas, and a few beers, which you could just help yourself to. It’s these small comforts that really make a difference throughout the day, you know? Just having a cold drink ready after a long swim is a little piece of luxury.

You spend a lot of time on the boat, so its features matter. There was, for example, a bimini top for shade, which was absolutely essential during the peak sun hours. You will see the main sights, get some nice pictures, and have a good day out. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that option, you know.
