And you are probably wondering how you can check the spot out? Well, good news! I will show you some neat ways you can get to see it all. Here’s my take on the top sightseeing options around.

1. Liftlock Cruises: A Unique Perspective

Liftlock Cruises

One experience that definitely is unlike others would be a cruise on the Liftlock. Basically, it gives you a different view of Peterborough, and you’re floating on the water. I think it is also that you go through the Peterborough Lift Lock, which, by the way, happens to be one of the highest hydraulic lift locks around these parts. Like your own little water elevator!

The cruises themselves? They come in all sorts of flavors. So, there are ones during the daytime, and these are great, actually, for seeing the views and, just a little, learning about the area. And also, that they’ve got evening cruises. The evening cruises have a vibe that’s a bit different. Basically, imagine seeing the city with its lights reflecting on the water – rather charming if you ask me.

Why go?: Unique view of the city. I would say that they have different cruise times, and too it’s pretty special that you can experience that lift lock.

They tell you the area’s history, starting from way back.

Also, sometimes they have things set up for people who want to check something new out. They also switch up some displays, in that case keeping everything fresh, or that is probably the idea, anyway. I do find it great, that you’ll get a bit more, a little, insight into the area’s deal here.
