Phillip Island! Very well known for its penguins and beautiful beaches, right? However, that small island also boasts a really interesting food scene just waiting to be uncovered, alright? So, if you’re after tasty grub, whether it’s super fresh seafood, food sourced from local farms, or, maybe something with a twist, then Phillip Island has got you very much covered, alright?
1. The Cape Kitchen: Dining with Stunning Views
The Cape Kitchen. Very well known not only for its absolutely amazing food but also for providing the most sensational panoramic ocean views; a bit of a double whammy there, right? Very, very easy to lose an afternoon here, basically staring out at the beautiful coastline whilst eating dishes showcasing the very best of the region’s produce. This spot really delivers big time in ambience and really special dishes, you know? That is what you would call food with a view, right?
The seafood is absolutely superb! I mean you would kind of hope it would be, what with the ocean being a mere stone’s throw away, that, too it’s almost certainly their biggest draw card! So, anyway, expect some freshly caught fish, pretty delightful grilled calamari, and, probably some very delicious oysters. Also, the menu changes quite a bit. It is very much based on what’s available at the time and whatever the season dictates, right? You’re kind of always in for a great and surprising tasting experience, is that not the most perfect thing or what, alright? Of course, it’s a popular place! You might need to make a booking!

2. Isola Di Capri: A Taste of Italy on Phillip Island
Isola Di Capri! This place is so authentic, right? I mean, very good Italian food, made with plenty of passion! Expect a pretty fantastic pizza and pasta. Basically dishes so good, you would think you’re dining in Italy! The vibe in here is very warm, it can be busy, anyway, yet that just enhances the feeling that this is the place to be on Phillip Island, you know?
The pasta is generally all freshly made! I mean, this detail alone, sets this place apart from many others, too it’s almost perfect! You’ll find a really beautiful creamy carbonara and perhaps a lovely spicy arrabiata. Very pleasing, I have to admit! Pizzas there are of course cooked in a proper wood-fired oven! I am a very big fan of that! Each pizza has got a thin and very slightly crispy crust, yet piled high with gorgeous tasty toppings! Booking ahead may be required, particularly during peak season!

3. The Foreshore Bar & Restaurant: Casual Dining by the Sea
The Foreshore Bar & Restaurant! Another Phillip Island Gem offering something a little more casual in comparison to those fancy dining spots; not a bad thing, is that a bad thing? Still providing amazing views; very much perfect for a lazy lunch or an evening get-together, right? This spot has, in general, something for absolutely everyone! From, I don’t know, seafood to grills and then maybe your regular pub-style favorites. And there is plenty of them.
Their menu tends to feature things such as: a very delightful beer-battered fish, great, chunky, home-style chips, or, you might be in the mood for, a very flavorful steak! Anyway, there’s lots! Basically something for absolutely everyone to enjoy there, you know? In my eyes, this establishment tends to stand out in regard to its service! The team who work there seem very welcoming. They often make you feel very much at home, even! This is why a visit here is, arguably, more than a decent option, alright? On top of all that, it is family-friendly. Making it very ideal if you’re after somewhere super easy, you know?

4. MadCowes Cafe: Cafe Culture at Its Best
MadCowes Cafe! Well located, really; bang smack in the middle of Cowes. It seems incredibly popular amongst absolutely all the locals! It offers a really super chill atmosphere with some pretty amazing coffee! It’s got a very modern sort of style, in that way! If you just are looking for a super quiet place to grab breakfast or maybe lunch, well you may well have just found it, you know?
MadCowes tend to serve a really extensive breakfast selection that covers all the favorites like, maybe your basic eggs Benedict and then I don’t know perhaps your fancy avocado toast; that one seems all the rage these days, right? For the folk that enjoy an extremely sweet treat they tend to have quite a delightful array of cakes and pastries. They always compliment a super fresh cup of coffee very well! The staff I saw the other day were particularly efficient! Also the venue comes across to me as especially stylish, anyway! What else could you ask for, basically? This may well be the top spot for your caffeine hit right here, right now!

5. Ocean View Hotel: Pub Fare with a View
The Ocean View Hotel; a kind of proper classic Aussie pub experience. Located where? Well, just where you might expect it to be; right by the ocean of course, too it’s almost laughable; what do you think? Very stunning spot to relax, and, to perhaps have a bite. They actually specialize in serving really good hearty pub food that is more or less perfect, isn’t it?
Basically they have all your favorites! Proper chicken parmigiana and very massive steaks. I feel these would definitely satisfy, not only myself, but also satisfy others! There tends to be daily specials! Make sure you listen out, anyway! These provide absolutely cracking value. What tends to attract folk here, apart from that classic pub fare, may well be their super cold beer; there’s not much beats that on a warm day. If you very much are seeking an honest Aussie pub with fantastic views then this place could well be the winner, actually. It very well is worth a shout!
